The cabin was exactly like the photo. We wanted to leave the city and have some quiet time and it was just the perfect place for it. It was quiet, in the wood, private but it's also convenient coz it'...s just a short drive to a few beaches/ town. We were worried about it being a bit cold at night so we brought an extra blanket, but we didn't need it at all. The cabin was quite well insulated and the host provided extra blankets. It was so comforting and healing to set up the outdoor fireplace at night and sitting under the stars. The cabin has large clear window so we can see the stars even from inside as well as wake up to the sunrise. We even spotted a few wallaby (absolutely adorable!) The host has firewood prepared and theres plenty of dry wood to pick up around the property. I was worried about the composting toilet but nature does it's magic and it doesn’t smell at all. It was just an incredibly nice experience and exactly what we needed. Its truely live up to the name "soul wood" :) Makes me want to do this at least once every year!

Loved our 2 night stay at soul wood! The beds were super comfy and the surroundings were amazing and a great place to relax 😌

Fishing At Bawley Beach
Fishing is a favourite pastime, you will find plenty of fisherman casting a line from the beaches and rocks around this area. The boat ramp at Bawley beach and Kioloa means you can put your tinny in and head further afield.

Sunrise A Bawley Gantry
Early mornings watching the sunrise over Bawley Gantry. A quintessential spot to enjoy a summertime dip. I even spotted a few stingrays and would be the perfect location to watch the whales swim past during migration.
Secret Beach
Only a short 10 minute drive from the property is my favourite hidden beach on the South Coast. Park at Meroo Head Campground and take the walk out to the headland. A beautiful sight awaits.
Perfect Waves
It's no secret that this stretch of the South Coast is home to some of the best waves in the world. You don't need to look too hard to find them!
Surfing At Sandmines Beach
One of the surfer's favourites in this area, Sandmines can be accessed via a carpark off Murramarang Road with a 250mtr walk to the beach. If you love coastal walking all of the beaches along this stretch of coast have tracks that allow access from one beach to the next with rocky headlands in between. Aboriginal middens can be found all along these coastal areas and stone cairns are scattered where the pebbles gather.
