SHARED PROPERTY
The main residence is situated atop the hill around 100m away, but the tiny house has private access. Should you require the hosts' help, please msg us (details in the guest book) and we will sort out any issues asap. Otherwise, enjoy the private and peaceful tiny house at your leisure.
ACCESS the tiny to the right side of the main house & down the stairs, it’s hard to miss ;).
PRIVACY:
The tinyhouse is a "backyard" tinyhome. We share it with the main residence as pictured in our photos. Both homes are on separate tiers and the top tier house can NOT see into the tinyhouse residence at all, leaving you to enjoy the space privately. The Tinyhouse does have a view of the neighbour's pool. Which is hardly used. We have planted lilly pillies that are busy growing to provide additional screening.
Our home:
we love our space, our home, and it makes us so happy to share it with you. Help yourself to the Nespresso machine and black tea. Please bring your own milk if you take it.
Entertainment:
A smart TV and HDMI is available.
We have a few 2-player board games.
Dogs:
We have two small fluffy dogs on the property. They might bark when you first arrive, but it's all bravado. They are actually very timid and might come to say hi to you if they are feeling brave.
ECO-COMPOSTING TOILET:
We are working our way to living off-grid and sustainably. We have an eco-composting toilet. The system is a 'Nature Loo' brand, it has inbuilt fans designed to ventilate the area. Should you experience ANY loo-related issue please let us know promptly so we can leave more woodchip or check everything is on and working. thank you!

The tiny house itself was cute, clean, and comfortable. However, the experience was quite different from what we expected based on the listing.
The property description mentioned that the tiny house ...was 100m from the main house, but in reality it felt much closer—more like 30m away. Rather than feeling secluded, it felt as though we were staying in the hosts’ backyard, which significantly reduced the sense of privacy.
When we arrived, there were people relaxing on the main house deck, and it felt awkward having to walk directly in front of them to access the tiny house. There were also children’s toys scattered around the property, which further detracted from the retreat-like atmosphere we were expecting.
The following afternoon, a child and his grandfather spent about an hour playing directly in front of the tiny house. It made us question how private the outdoor bath area really was and whether we could comfortably use it without being overlooked.
Overall, while the accommodation itself was lovely, it didn’t provide the peaceful, private retreat that was advertised. Considering the price point, we expected a much more secluded experience. With greater privacy, separate access, and better separation from the main residence, this stay would have felt much better value for money.

Marine Discovery Centre Coffee
We stopped in at Parklife Coffee for a small snack and coffee. The park overlooks the protected Terrigal Lagoon, with amazing bird life and native plants, and includes a children’s playground for parents to enjoy their coffee while watching the kids play. Alongside the cafe is The Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre. While it is kid-focused we also learnt some fun facts about Port Jackson sharks, explored the whale, bird and heritage exhibits and observed the fish and shark tanks. A great educational experience for adults and kids!
Exploring Distillery Botanica
Spend the afternoon exploring Distillery Botanica and all it has to offer. You can experience the tranquility, beauty and aromas of the Victorian-style cottage gardens. This place has everything! Visit the cafe and have some lunch, treat yourself to an afternoon gelato or relax with a massage and an afternoon gin tasting.
Six String Brewing Co
Had a most enjoyable pale ale, burger and chips. Six String Brewery provides an intimate and enjoyable atmosphere, definitely worth a visit!
Surfing At Terrigal
We parked up nearby and joined the friendly locals down at the massive beach. Super central, and great little waves!
Kanning Cave Walk
Short and easy loop walk starting from Honeman's picnic area. We followed a clear track passing by native flowers, white scribbly gums and sandstone rock walls. Eventually we made our way to a large cave where you could crawl inside. After admiring the cave we followed the track taking us past a mud brick house and back to the picnic area.
The Lookout At The Top Of Spoons Bay
We popped into Spoon Bay on the second afternoon of our adventure when there was a brief break in the weather. Definitely want to come back here on a beautiful day, but even with the wind and rain, the view was gorgeous. We spent half an hour watching a sea eagle ride the wind.
