* April 2025 - Please note, due to the very dry summer the lake has now become a river which is several hundred meters from the edge of the property and kayaking from the property is not an option. There is still fishing and swimming available in the Jamieson and Goulburn Rivers 5 minutes away. I've included photos of current lake levels.

Relax and unwind in this peaceful setting. Tim’s rustic shack has all the creature comforts you could ask for and more including an outdoor bath, outdoor shower, and fire pit! Tucked away on a dead-end road with lovely views.

When the water levels are high enough, you can kayak around to the Jamieson Brewery or launch your own boat from the property and go to the Brewery, have a ski or fish. 5 minutes’ drive into the quaint town of Jamieson where the Jamieson and Goulburn Rivers converge, and 45 minutes to the Mt Buller gates.

Note : due to the bedroom setup and lack of privacy the property does not suit 2 couples

Additional Information

The property is made up of several separate buildings. There are two bedrooms in a converted shed, about 8 meters from the main dwelling. There are no windows in one bedroom, just an external door & a door between the 2 rooms. Not suitable for more than 1 couple due to lack of privacy.

The kitchen, lounge dining and outdoor deck makes up the central area. The bathroom / laundry (fully renovated 2024) is in another building just a few meters away, it has a walk-in shower, flushing toilet, washing machine and dryer. There is a separate outdoor shower by the water tank, concealed behind a tea-tree fence for privacy and a clawfoot outdoor bath with water views.

There is one shed that guests do not have access to, as well as the caravan that is adjacent to the main building.

Note there is a smart TV with free to air TV, Kayo etc and reliable Starlink internet.

The water front is crown land so you can expect to share it with the neighbours.

Tim’s Shack was a lovely place for a quiet get away from the city. Peaceful views of the river and easy walks around the shack that my dog loved. Lovely days reading in the sunshine and relaxing at night by the fire with a glass of wine.

My partner and I spent the long weekend at Tim’s Shack and couldn’t have asked for more. The cosy, rustic charm swept us off our feet the moment we arrived, exactly the kind of place that makes you ex...hale and slow down.

The surroundings were stunning, we did some great walks in the mornings and went to the Jamieson Brewery. Afternoons were spent around the outdoor fire pit and then we headed inside to enjoy the log burner in the evenings. It was also a dream spot for our puppy, who loved every second. Well-equipped, wholesome and perfect for a winter couple’s getaway!

We’ll absolutely be back!

We moved through nature between rooms, and with the absence of glass windows nature would flow through the main living. It felt almost fairytale like (Snow White if you will).

With two kids under fi...ve our mornings were quiet and slow; a rarity in our ordinary life.

No toys, no screens, not a peep of another neighbour. Just a warm fire, some torches and some quality family time. Finally, a quiet place for a quiet mind to exist, even with two small kids and two dogs.

With barely anything at all, it had something for everyone. Would definitely stay again!

Jamieson Brewery

A great restaurant overlooking the river and mountains. Grab a bite to eat from their delicious grill menu and be sure to take a tasting of the locally brewed beer. Beer meets Berries with their Classic raspberry Ale, brewed on site with a bucket load of berries from the farm up the road. Give it a try!

Jamieson General Store

Jamieson is known for its amazing brewery, yes it is! But, we discovered one of the coolest general stores in Australia. The vintage vibes, amazing coffee and cute king parrots made our afternoon worth it. This place is a must-visit in the Eildon Lake region, 100% recommended!!!
