What a beautiful place to relax and get away from the everyday life! Ashlea and Mitch made a very warm and welcoming guest house for us to relax and enjoy, the sauna was absolutely beautiful as well a...s the cold plunge pool. The surroundings were so quiet and you could hear nature all around, the atmosphere in the guesthouse was very comfortable, they have done a really good job building this little guest house, the amenities they have to offer in the guest house and upstairs in the yoga and Gym area is clean well looked after and put together very well. My partner and I had a really beautiful time being able to get away and enjoy each other’s company and such a beautiful area, we were able to bring our beautiful German Shepherd with us too and he had a lot of fun being in a different environment with us!
Mitch and Ashlea also left a welcoming hamper for our dog which was absolutely adorable!
We thank you guys so much and we look forward to coming back and enjoying our stay again!

Though the accommodation is very impressive (Mitch built it himself) and pretty cute and cosy, there is unfortunately zero privacy. The cabin is in the owners driveway and therefore surrounded by cars... and the property and neighbors. The sauna was something we were looking forward to but is very much in view of the neighbors house as the fence is low so I did not feel comfortable being so in view. The living room wall is all glass doors which looks out onto the owners driveway where they had 4 cars parked, one of which a work van which was always open as Mitch would work on whatever trade he was working. 8am Sunday morning he played loud music while working outside which woke us. A woman who I assume was the owners mother walked up and down with their dogs a few times but they made all efforts to avoid looking at us. It all just felt very odd and not well set up for the cute and cosy escape they have advertised. Our host was on maternity leave so there were no gym classes happening during our stay which is lucky because the gym is directly above the accommodation so I can imagine the early morning classes wouldn’t have been that quiet for us underneath. The gym itself is very cool and we would have loved to use it but unfortunately a close family member of mine suddenly passed and we had to leave early. In saying all of this if you don’t mind having little privacy and noise from early in the morning the cabin itself was comfortable and had everything you could need. Well stocked kitchen, streaming services and a short drive to the main area on the island. The bathroom was beautiful and the couch very comfortable! Lots of spider webs throughout, especially around the bed so I would suggest a deeper clean there.

This was an awesome getaway. Ashlea was an exceptional host, very accommodating with a heap of local recommendations. The space itself is so homey and comfortable. One of the hottest saunas I've ever been in, cold plunge was great, and the access to the gym and classes was a great touch

I run a personal training and yoga studio from home called Sunset Studio, Phillip Island. My partner Mitch and I both love living by the beach, surfing, gardening and spending time with our fur baby’s Riff; the Great Dane and Raff; the Dalmatian. During the week we love being active working-out and surfing. On the weekends you will find us at the beach, enjoying nature walks around Phillip Island, dining at a local restaurants with friends or enjoying a quiet cocktail at home.

Swimming And Surfing
Smiths Beach is normally the best surf spot for kids and beginners surfers on popular Phillip Island. This small beach has soft waves that are ideal for practising in the whitewater or catching green waves when the surf is small.
Snorkeling In Plunge Pools
Between YCW and Smiths Beach, you'll come across a series of secret swimming holes (accessible at low tide). The magical spot is crystal clean bluey-green water and you will spot some friendly fish, seaweed and coral along with excellent launching platforms to jump in.
Purple Hen Winery
This is a really nice little winery with delicious wines. Tasting is $15 for the six wines of your choice. My recommendations: Roaster Shiraz, Riesling, and Sparkling Shiraz.
Surf Beach Strolls
Plenty of fresh coastal air and leisurely strolls along (what felt like) our own private beach.
Redlining On The Race Track
This was the highlight of the trip, well worth it if you're visiting the island. We redlined those things around the track and it was thrilling!
Pyramid Rock Lookout
The sun had set as we arrived at Pyramid Rock lookout in hope of catching the Aurora lights, the clouds had other plans and rolled in covering the sky. The views were stunning, wallabies bounced around as the last light of the day disappeared.
