An idyllic beachside escape nestled amongst the iconic ‘Lonnie’ Tea Trees. A cosy coastal oasis designed for slow living, synonymous with the sleepy nature Point Lonsdale is known for. A stone's throw from popular beaches, as well as the main street where you’ll find seaside inspired cafes, shops + bars. Surfing, golfing, fishing, tennis, pilates and yoga are all a short walk or drive away too.
Named after William Buckley, notorious convict who later became the intermediary and interpreter between the English and the First Nations People in the 1800's.

Planning to return to Buckley House. Peaceful, comfortable and immaculate. Point Lonsdale provides a relaxing beach and cafe slow pace which we loved. We took three dogs who loved the dog beach and we...re welcome in leads everywhere we ate (outside). Dined at Pascina, Plated and the Queenscliff Hotel Conservatory. Lastly two very special shops; The Bookshop and Homebody in Queenscliff.

Buckley House was everything written on the packet and so much more. Exceptionally well appointed, comfortable beds (and pillows!), secure dog friendly yard for playing (would suit small humans also!)..., and assorted provisions a very welcome, unexpected touch. I almost don’t want to say how good it was for fear of never being able to get a booking again! Thank you for having us ☺️

Born and raised in Point Lonsdale, I've adored this town for almost my whole life. In 2022 my partner Hugh and I lovingly renovated our home so that we're able to share all that 'Lonnie' has to offer with everyone.

Surfing And Beach Day At Point Lonsdale
The weather was perfect for spending the day at the beach. We met some friends down there and went for a surf and relaxed in the sun. Point Lonsdale beach is quiet with great views of the lighthouse and the surf was clean and fun.
Queenscliff To Point Lonsdale Walking Trail
The 'quality of life' trail is a walking, running and cycling track connecting the towns Queenscliff to Point Lonsdale. The largely flat 5.5 kilometre distance between the two towns makes the trail a return journey of 11kms. If you are starting from Queenscliff, the trail begins near the foreshore, close to the railway station. It winds around Swan Bay, giving good views over the Bay and surrounding farmlands.
Queenscliff General Store Take Away
Located in the historic town of Queenscliff and popular with the locals, this lovely little general store and cafe has amazing coffee, super-friendly staff and delicious food. Not eating in? They have a takeaway window serving all your favourites.
Sail Home In Style
If you are needing to head to and from the area from the Mornington side of town, or you just want a great spot to stop off, have some local seafood and view the area from the lookout, Queenscliff Wharf is your destination. We took the ferry home from here, and we were even able to take our car with us.
