Newly built off-grid cabin nestled by the Ovens River on our 100 year old Walnut Farm 'Valley Nut Groves'.

Has 1 Queen bed,
2 burner Gas stove top,
Microwave & Toaster,
Hot shower with Soaps.
Outdoor bath with Hot water.
Split System for heating and Cooling.
Curtains and blinds.
Mini Fridge.
Deck with outdoor BBQ.
Toilet.

Being a place for you to switch off, there is NO wifi or tv. Mobile reception is perfectly fine though, if you do need to stay connected.

Full Fly screen on bi-fold doors for fresh air.
Please close doors if Split system is on, or just have doors open for fresh air to save power!

All linen, towels and soaps included.
Plus tea, sugar, cooking oil, salt & pepper.
Coffee Pods and Pod machine.
Plus a French press Plunger.

Bathe outside in the outdoor bath, or use the purpose built steps that will take you down to the river's edge. Wander around the farm and over to another swimming spot (approx 1km away) where you’ll find kayaks and a canoe for you to use.

Stunning location. Surreal environment. Well equipped for a relaxing getaway. Best way to unwind with beautiful sounds of nature.

Had a brilliant time at this tiny home. Had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend in an idyllic location. Very secluded and exactly what we were after. Ronaldo was a fantastic host and was very helpful and attentive. We will be back!

Cortes Cabin is in a spectacular location, not sure it's possible to get the cabin any closer to the Ovens River. When we visited the Ovens River was in flood, but this didn't pose any issues. We were... able to watch from the quiet of the cabin through the large viewing window as the fast flowing river did its thing.

Ronaldo was a superb host, making sure we had ample firewood and happy to chat about the history of the farm. We visited Bright, Mt Buffalo and Beechworth looking at the many waterfalls in the area. My partner Rachel and I would highly recommend this beautiful accommodation.

Gapsted Estate

The best spot for a cheese board and bottle of wine was at Gapsted Estate just up the road from our accommodation. There’s nothing like watching the sun go down over the grapevines and you can even take the rest of the bottle home!

Berry Picking

We went blackberry picking when we stumbled on piles and piles of them just near the lodge. There were also mountains of them at the back of the property, but they weren't quite ripe yet.

Surrounding Waterfalls

We checked out both Newton falls and Woolshed which were pumping thanks to all the rain we have had lately. Woolshed was our pick of the two if you can only check one.

The Ox And Hound

Delicious food using local ingredients in hearty dishes. The service was top notch and the food was drool-worthy.

Tiny Coffee

For your coffee fix visit Liv and Jake at Tiny Coffee in Beechworth. Their vibrant and welcoming dispositions make anyone feel right at home. If you're lucky, they might have their loving pup with them to also get your daily dose of doggo.

Milawa Local Produces

Some exquisite tasty Australian farmhouse cheeses from Milawa Cheese Company, with a great-balanced reserve cabernet sauvignon from Wood Park Wines and delicious sourdough bread from Milawa Bakery Cafe. All that close to each other. Can it be better? We don't think so!
