* April 2025 - Please note, due to the very dry summer the lake has now become a river and kayaking from the property is not an option. There is still kayaking, fishing, and swimming available in the Jamieson and Goulburn Rivers 5 minutes away.
Escape to this fully renovated, modern 2 bedroom home on the shores of lake Eildon with direct lake access and lovely lake views. (when the water levels are high enough) It has a huge covered deck, perfect for entertaining with a bbq and outdoor setting. Located just outside of the quaint town of Jamieson where the Jamieson and Goulburn Rivers converge, and just 40 minutes to the gates of Mt Buller and Stirling. There are endless activities to enjoy from boating, kayaking, hiking, fishing, skiing, or just relax by the lake or the fire pit, or by the cosy wood heater in winter, and enjoy the view.

We had a positive stay in a lovely area with a charming town nearby. The house was simple and clean, set at the rear of a quiet street. The area felt family-friendly, though not entirely private. As n...oted in the listing, the river is more of a stream due to dry conditions, but there are good swimming spots only a short drive away. A good option for a relaxed stay in a peaceful setting.

Hi I’m Samantha,
I look forward to hosting you at my second home and labour of love The Cabin at Kevington. I manage a number of beautiful properties in the local area, most of which have direct river or lake access ( dependant on water levels) . All are located very close to Lake Eildon and are within an hours drive from the gates at Mt Buller.

Jamieson Brewery
A great restaurant overlooking the river and mountains. Grab a bite to eat from their delicious grill menu and be sure to take a tasting of the locally brewed beer. Beer meets Berries with their Classic raspberry Ale, brewed on site with a bucket load of berries from the farm up the road. Give it a try!
Take To The Lake On Board Or Ski
Bring a boat and launch at the ramp for some of the best waterskiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding or tubing conditions in the state. With beautiful mountain surrounds and calm waters you'll be taking in the serenity from behind the wake in no time.
Picnic Dinner At The Island Jamieson
Pack a picnic, drinks, and your binoculars to have dinner and a bird-watching show at 'The Island'.
Coffee And Heritage Walk
With a coffee and hot chocolate in hand from The Cafe, we took a self-guided tour through the town of Jamieson. Many of the old buildings have a fascinating story to go with them, making it a lovely way to find out more about the town.
Fishing In The Jamieson River
We fished by the river most afternoons. The water is clear and the river is surrounded by wattle trees, so it was something we really enjoyed.
Jamieson General Store
Jamieson is known for its amazing brewery, yes it is! But, we discovered one of the coolest general stores in Australia. The vintage vibes, amazing coffee and cute king parrots made our afternoon worth it. This place is a must-visit in the Eildon Lake region, 100% recommended!!!
