Swimmer Cafe. This is also a great restaurant to dine at night or for a long lazy lunch.
Things to do.
(Where do I begin? )
Starting at Kiama.
Kiama is a beautiful seaside town which has all your essentials. Woolworths, bottle shop, chemist etc…. You can pick up supplies here.
Kiama is famous for the blow hole and great foodie markets. There are loads of great cafes and icecreamerys. Our favourite is The Pines Gelato. Situated on the side cafes just off the Main Street. The Gelato is made locally.
Fish n chips. Salt cafe do a great fish n chips.
If you like Vietnamese, you can’t go past Hanoi on Manning. It’s super busy but just great food.
If you like something sweet, you can’t go past the Patisserie. It’s not far from Hanoi on Manning.
There are loads more but you can discover these yourself.
Gerringong
This is another great little village, best known for is famous surf shop Natural Necessities. There are some beautiful cafes and shops. All of which I would recommend. Gerringong Pizza is great. The Hill bar and restaurant is perfect for lunch, dinner and lots of drinks. If you want pub food, Mick Cronin’s pub serves up good pub food. If you want the views, the Fisherman’s Club at Gerroa can’t be beaten. It sits high on the hill and overlooks the majestic 7mile beach.
Berry
is iconic for its quaint shops and delicious cafes. If you want good meat, the Berry Butcher is the best. If you want to try some unique beers and wine, head to the bottle shop on the Main Street almost opposite the butcher.
The pubs in Berry are great too. Lots of people visit the famous Berry Donut Van.
There are a number of lovely restaurants in Berry too.
There are quite a few wineries on the south coast
Coolangatta winery ( about 10 mins from our house)
Silos Estate Berry
Two Figs winery ( about 15 mins )
Crooked River Winery Gerringong ( 10 mins )
Mountain Ridge Wines ( not far either )
