Additional Information
Inside
The kitchen is equipped with gas cooking, large fridge and pantry, and a Breville coffee machine. The bedroom has a queen bed with quality bedding, and plenty of robe space available. The living space feels spacious yet cozy with a raked ceiling and sofas for lounging. There’s a washing machine should you need to do a load. The tiled bathroom floor is heated, and the shower includes a hand shower as well as an overhead rain shower (both with good water pressure!).
The guesthouse is plumbed entirely with natural spring water - there is a bore on the property which draws pristine water from the aquifer 40 metres below, naturally filtered through the Gosford Sandstone geology. The water is free of iron, and high in magnesium bi-carbonate - for those so interested. It’s good enough to bottle, and far too good to waste!
Outside
Enjoy the natural (and private) bush setting surrounding the guesthouse. Relax in the lounge chairs by the fire pit. There’s an outdoor bath with a caddy - you can even watch a movie on the TV from the bath! The edge of the deck is also a great place to perch with your morning coffee. There’s plenty of parking space close to the guesthouse, and lots to see & do in the area!
In the area
Somersby Falls is just a 10 minute drive south. Beautiful waterfall, walking track and picnic area.
Saddles Mount White is great for brunch or lunch. 20 minutes drive from Somersby Guesthouse. They have a farmers market every third Wednesday of the month.
The Hunter Valley vineyards are also under an hour’s drive to the North. A better route is ‘Route 33’ through Kulnura, Bucketty, Wollombi, and Broke. We’d highly recommend the scenic route if you have the time. Laguna Village on the Great North Road is well worth the lunch or rest stop too.

Thankyou to Lucy and Tim for creating this amazing little cabin nestled within the perfect part of their property. Such a great place to unwind for a few days. Will definitely be visiting again.

We enjoyed the most lovely little staycation here before welcoming our second baby, and it was exactly what we needed. It’s hard to believe somewhere so peaceful and relaxing is only 15 minutes from h...ome on the Central Coast — it truly felt like a rural retreat far away from everything.
The guesthouse was incredibly comfortable, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. We especially loved the outdoor bath, which was definitely a highlight! Such a special spot for a quiet escape — we’ll definitely be back.

A Quick Detour Somersby Falls
We ended our weekend with a visit to Somersby Falls, where there are multiple tiers to explore.
Somersby Falls
An easy hike to visit varying heights of the Somersby Natural Water Falls.
Piles Creek Loop
The Central Coast is surrounded by rich Aussie bushland which makes for some incredible walks and hikes. On this occasion, we opted for the Piles Creek Loop. It had the perfect mix of water features (who isn't a sucker for a waterfall), unique fauna and was relatively quiet. Take water and snacks because there is no shortage of picturesque picnic spots along the way.
Saddles
A dining venue inspired by its surrounding bush landscape.
Ettalong Beach
Sandy beaches, calm waterways and magnificent national parks hug Ettalong Beach, creating plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beauty of nature. Take your pick from swimming, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, cycling and boating in this waterfront town on the Central Coast of NSW.
Spencer On The Hawkesbury River
Stop in for lunch and live music at the sleepy riverside village of Spencer.
