The place was exactly what we were looking for. A nice little cosy home away from the noice. All we heard was the charming sound of the rainfall, the raging waters, the crisp sound of burning wood and... the birds chirping. Everything we needed for two days were right there. The privacy was another awesome thing too! The river right infront the property was a total magic. Will definitely recommend it to others to experience! Thanks Janet for the lovely space❣️!

Janet was so lovely to deal with! We absolutely loved our stay, bed was super comfy so nice and cosy in winter. We will definitely be back

The setting was lovely, communication was great and the surrounds are worth exploring.
Great if you want it as a simple base to explore the area but the couch and bed weren’t comfortable. The photos ...also don’t show the main house is less than 100m away which disappointing to find out.
But if those things don’t bother you, great communication, great setting.

Jamieson is the perfect tiny town for a getaway, and a tiny house in a tiny town has got to be a perfect match. Enjoy the beauty of the surrounds, the sounds of the river and the bliss of open spaces to yourself. I have had all this to myself for 8 years and now it's time to share.

Nature Walk
On the property, there's a creek that I spent time down exploring and collecting love heart shaped rocks. Wombats roam around too and seen a few kangaroos. Looks like a wicked good swimming hole too but I ran out of time for a cold plunge!

There are endless walks around the rivers, hills and valleys of Jamieson to suit all standards including The Heritage Walk, The Significant Trees Walk and The Island Walk. As a gateway to the Alpine National Park, there are also spectacular Alpine walks nearby. Maps are available at the General Store.

Kayak Journeys
Hire a kayak from the Jamieson caravan park and make your way down the river. You can stop off for lunch at the brewery or spend all arvo making your way down to Lake Eildon where you can be picked up by the friendly folk at the park.
Walk To The Island
In Jamieson along the Jamieson river, there's a gorgeous walking track called "The Island."

A great restaurant overlooking the river and mountains. Grab a bite to eat from their delicious grill menu and be sure to take a tasting of the locally brewed beer. Beer meets Berries with their Classic raspberry Ale, brewed on site with a bucket load of berries from the farm up the road. Give it a try!
