Outdoors Soak in the wood-fired bath on the deck, gather around the fire pit and head up to the mezzanine to stargaze. Comfy seating is scattered around the property, so you'll always find a spot to relax.
Your Own Space
The Cabin sits in its own private, secluded area, separate from the Tiny House. The Cottage next door stays empty for your whole stay. The only shared space on the property is the sauna paddock, and that's always booked privately.
Wellness Session ($200): sauna, plunge baths and gym Set among towering trees and birdsong, our open-air wellness space is a short walk from the Cabin. Move in the outdoor gym, settle into the deep, dry heat of the wood-fired sauna, then cool off in the twin cold plunge baths or the outdoor shower. Repeat as often as you like.
What's included:
• Private use of the sauna, plunge baths and outdoor gym. The whole space is yours.
• Gym equipment: weight bar, dumbbells, resistance bands, chin-up bars and yoga mats

Sessions are popular on weekends, so we recommend booking early. Perfect for a solo retreat, a couples' escape, or a quiet moment of reflection under the stars.
Getting Out and About
The historic village of St Albans sits on the Macdonald River, just 20 minutes away. At its heart is the Settlers Arms, one of Australia's oldest pubs, dating back to the 1800s when convicts were building the roads nearby. On weekends there's live music in the oak tree garden, and visitors come from all over NSW.
For something more active, local hikes like Jacks Track take you up to the ridgeline for sweeping views over the valley. You don't even need to leave the property: walking trails start right from your door.
Before You Arrive Seven days before your stay, we'll send you "Your Guide to the Wilderness", with everything you need to know about getting here, what to expect and what to bring.

The cabin itself was lovely and comfortable & the indoor log fire worked a treat.
What was disappointing was the outlook onto the neighbouring cottage. It does not feel sufficiently private. We also ...had enormous trouble lighting the wood-fired bath & eventually gave up.
The surrounding area is beautiful, however. Lots of roos and birdlife. We were also fortunate to see a koala just a short walk away from the cabin.

Macdonald River
Enjoy the drive following the Macdonald River.

Sunday Farmers Market
We were lucky to find the Farmers Market (every 2nd Sunday of the month) and see the freshest farm products in the town. There is also a Vintage & Antiques Market on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
Exploring St Albans Historic Village
This tiny historical village is worth a visit. The locals call it "Slice of Paradise". No wonder for a hundred years travellers would rest on the main road from Sydney to the Hunter Valley. We visited the St Albans Inn for an afternoon drink where locals gathered as a hub of the village. The drive here was very scenic with a strong countryside and farming atmosphere, make sure to check out Mogo Creek which is a further 10-minute drive from the Inn and get ready to be astonished by the scenic view of the lake.
Lunch At The Local Pub
St Albans is a small and historic village on the Macdonald River with one very cool history pub. We sat in the sun listening to the birds while we sipped on our schooners and ate a delicious pork roast.
Lunch At Settlers Arm Inn
We were quite hungry and we discovered this unique inn that was established in 1836. Best feed in town for sure!

Hike At Shepherds Gully
The long, gentle climb along Shepherd’s Gully has some beautiful scenery and some historic remnants of the Old Great North Road. The optional side trip to Hangmans Rock takes you past an old convict stockade site and some of the construction remnants on the main Devines Hill ascent.
