RETREAT DETAILS
The hideaway of your dreams nestled high up on the edge of an ancient rainforest. In between to Berry and Kangaroo Valley but away from the crowds, this provides a cosy retreat in which to relax and unwind amongst the native flora and fauna. Only a 25 mins drive to the most glorious beaches.
You can snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove or have a barbeque on the verandah while keeping an eye out for the local wombats, wallabies and birdlife. After that take time out to soak up the atmosphere in our spa baths or have a massage from a massage therapist, before hitting the sack to recharge the batteries and awaken to the sound of native birdsong, welcoming in the next day.
The cottage has two bedrooms and is designed with a rustic feel to blend in with the tranquil rainforest setting. To compliment this, it is furnished with an array of eclectic furniture providing all the creature comforts of home. The main bedroom has a ceiling fan and French doors opening up onto the verandah to catch the cool summer breezes. Whilst during the winter months you can enjoy the warmth of the wood burning stove in the cosy living room.
With mountains and beaches virtually at your front door there is an endless list of activities to entertain you during your stay.
All this can be yours in just over 2 hours drive from both Sydney or Canberra.
THE SPACE
2 x double beds, two way spa ensuite, seperate toilet, fully equipped kitchen, living room with Wood burning stove & verandah with barbeque.
GUEST ACCESS
You have access to the whole of our property except for the private house. Those wanting to explore the forest do so at their own risk as there are no formal paths and there are steep drop offs and hidden dams and creeks. Our land has a lot of native wildlife and we ask that you treat it with respect.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We aim to give you complete privacy. Access is via a key box on the outside of the cottage. We give you the code just before your stay. We are available to help via mobile phone during your stay, but otherwise leave you to enjoy the peace and tranquility.
PLEASE NOTE
We also have another cottage which sleeps 4. It is quite separate - about 70 metres away and on a different elevation. You should hardly be aware of the other guests.
Please note that we do not have secure fencing for your dog as we are on 18 acres of rural property. The cottages are quite a way from the quiet road that we live on. There is plenty of grass at the cottages for your dog to play and run around. Please let us know if you are intending to bring a dog with you; there will be a $50 charge added to your invoice to cover additional cleaning and maintenance.
On long weekends and Easter the minimum stay is 3 or 4 nights.
