Love, love, loved our stay. Tranquil R&R in comfy cottage full of eclectic vintage decore. Chose mostly to stay in, chill on the verandah watching the birds in the garden, playing cards, piecing a puz...zle, sleeping in. So quiet. With the abundance of books and readily available amenities, we definitely overpacked. Heaps to see in the area- pretty towns, great galleries, strolling on the beach. If you avoid boring, box room hotels and noisy, tacky holiday park cabins like us, you’ll love it.

Very pretty cottage in a beautiful part of Victoria. Unplugged, quiet and beautifully styled with everything you need. Recommend Waratah Hills winery for lunch and tastings. Nearby Agnes Falls is also worth the drive.

Shell Service Station
If you need to fuel up, roll along to the local Shell service station a say G'day to Bob. He's a real Aussie gem. He’s owned the station for over 50 years. If you’re looking for a little insider info, he’s your man!
Pandesal Bakery
A true slice of country Australia with a delightful and delicious little bakery that came through with great coffee and tasty treats to get our day started right. There's also a wonderful organic and local produce store down the street to stock up on veggies and a cheeky vegan caramel slice or two. A cute variety of homewares stores to explore, with coffee in hand, was a nice way to spend the morning.

We stopped at the cutest café in Meeniyan for some iced-chocolate milkshakes.
Cycle The Great Southern Rail Trail
Elm Cottage is a 2 km bike ride (on a sealed country road) to Meeniyan and the Rail Trail. A westerly rail trail ride towards Loch showcases the rolling hills of Gippsland. An easterly ride towards Fish Creek features stunning Prom Country scenery. Adventure awaits either way!
Trulli Woodfire Pizzeria
Trulli Pizza located in Meeniyan has the most delicious Southern Italian style Pizza on offer that you can enjoy in of take away.

A 30 min drive inland from Driftwood Villas to Meeniyan. A cute little country town is a great place to stock up on supplies and explore the community gardens and craft stores. If you've packed a bike, you can also take advantage and ride part of the Great Southern Rail Trail (68km of the epic Victorian countryside from Leongatha to Welshpool in South Gippsland)
