Uluwatu was a perfect stay for our weekend trip away! From the serenity to the hospitality we enjoyed every moment. Mellissa was the best host and answered any questions or concerns we had. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place for a picturesque getaway. 10/10! 😊

The perfect spot for a weekend getaway. It was amazing to wake up to uninterrupted views of the mountains every morning. The space was clean and cosy and our host even provided a generous and thoughtfully prepared platter for breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Uluwatu was amazing!!The cabin is beautiful and Melissa is very nice. We had an amazing stay and enjoyed the big breakfast supplied to us.Definitely coming back!

Bilpins Famous Apple Pies
So - Bilpin is famous for its apples, and even more specifically - apple pies! We looked up the three best-rated apple pie places en route (Pie in the Sky, Bilpin Fruit Bowl & the Pines Orchard) and bought pies from each of them to compare. Personally, we fell in love with Pie in the Sky (YUUUUM) for its juicy caramelised apple filling, the crystallised sugar on top and the puff pastry, but definitely see which tickles your fancy :) The cafes also sell fresh apple juice, apples, and a bunch of other local produce, so we loaded up.

We decided to do some spontaneous apple picking at the Bilpin Fruit Bowl.
Explore Kurrajong Heights
Because of the wet weather, we made the most of the moments we had while staying in such a beautiful area. Exploring and driving through Kurrajong Heights is a must.
Hillbillys Cider Shed
We spent the afternoon rugged up at Hillbilly's Cider Shed - well known for their tasting paddles and woodfire pizzas. Take our word for it and try the garlic flatbread, you will not be disappointed. The outdoor setting was perfect for us to bring our pup along, and she definitely loved tearing around with all the other dogs.
Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens
A beautiful, cruisey walk through the Botanical Gardens to take in some of the best-paved nature the mountains has to offer.
Bulcamatta Falls
Waterfall walk Bulcamatta Falls From our cottage, at Grose Vale. You will need to be well prepared for this or any of the walks. You can also choose biking it. Bring your bike and explore many areas to ride from easy to challenging rides. This walk departures from Burralow Creek, return walk 1 hour. Distance from The Cottage = 20km / 30 minute drive.
