Welcome to Dunmore by the Coast, a relaxed coastal retreat set between the raw shoreline of 13th Beach and the open greens of Barwon Heads Golf Club. Designed in the early 1980s, the home blends subtle retro character with a laid-back coastal sensibility and modern comfort.
Perfectly positioned, you’re moments from beaches, golf and the easy rhythm of Barwon Heads, with its cafés, bars and local shops. Whether your stay unfolds around early swims, long walks or unhurried afternoons close to home, this is a place designed for slowing down and settling into the Surf Coast way of life.
Well suited to: couples, small families, golfers, remote workers and guests seeking a calm coastal base with walkable access to nature.
The House
Designed with space, light and proportion in mind, the house is calm and unfussy in its layout. It comfortably sleeps up to six guests and is pet friendly.
Three bedrooms offer flexible accommodation: two queen rooms and a third bedroom with two king single beds. Beds are dressed in French linen with woollen throws, creating a sense of comfort that feels both considered and relaxed.
There are two bathrooms, including a private ensuite, stocked with plush towels and natural, organic Denu body and bath products.
The separate kitchen is generous in scale and filled with natural light. An adjoining laundry functions as a semi butler’s pantry, fitted with essential appliances, coffee machines stocked with locally roasted specialty coffee.
A separate living room provides a quiet place to unwind, while a dedicated workspace offers a light-filled setting for reading or remote work. Indoor and outdoor dining options allow the house to be enjoyed at an easy coastal pace.
Outside, a small Weber BBQ and outdoor dining areas are available for relaxed meals at home.

The house is well suited to year-round stays, with heaters in the living areas and bedrooms, a split-cycle air conditioner servicing the kitchen and dining space, and individual cooling units in each bedroom.
Things to Note
The house sits next door to Barwon Heads Golf Club and its pro shop. Early morning grounds activity or golfer movement may occasionally be heard, reflecting the natural rhythm of the area. This setting naturally suits guests who enjoy an early start.
From the doorstep, you’ll have easy access to The Bluff, 13th Beach, and the coastal walking and cycling trails of the Surf Coast. Walkers, cyclists and dogs are a regular and welcome part of the landscape.
The house is split level with stairs, and the hallway balustrade is not child-proof. Extra care is required when infants and young children are navigating the space.
WiFi, Foxtel, board games and a small collection of coffee table books are provided. We kindly ask that all house items are returned as found.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire house and two private courtyards. A fully secured yard offers a safe, enclosed space for children and pets.
Outdoor living features a paved courtyards framed by coastal planting. The front courtyard captures afternoon sun, while the side courtyard is set up for alfresco dining with BBQ facilities.
