Additional Information
The Sugar Shack is perfect for those seeking to relax and unwind amidst the peace and tranquility of nature, enjoying simple, old-style pleasures. Thoughtfully curated, it offers a cozy haven for both relaxation and positive vibes.
The charming light-filled interior features open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space with beautiful ever-changing lake and nature views. A combustion fire keeps you warm on chilly nights, and a coffee machine ensures leisurely morning cuppa's in bed as you gaze out at the view.
The sunroom includes an old-style record player with a record collection, scrabble and playing cards, a desk, a daybed for lazy afternoons, and direct access to the sunny veranda, plus a large, level backyard boasting a firepit, old-style sun lounges for kicking back under the trees with a good book, and a table with umbrella for alfresco meals.
Afternoons can be spent sitting on the front deck enjoying the serenity, visiting Kangaroos and amazing sunsets.
Centrally located for the ultimate south coast getaway within a 15-minute drive to the popular township of Huskisson, the pristine beaches of Jervis Bay and 25 minutes South to the townships of Milton and Ulladulla.
Guest access
The Sugar Shack is all yours to enjoy including the front and back yards, bbq and firepit. Guests are welcome to help themselves to any herbs from the garden.
Unfortunately, Nellie the caravan is not offered for use at this point in time, but we are considering this for the future!
Other things to note
We stock basic pantry goods including; Coffee, Black and Herbal Teas, Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil and vinegar.
Please be careful if using the combustion fire. Only use it for heating if you are confident on how to work it, otherwise there is a heater under the bottom bunk in the back room that can be used.
There is a set of built-in bunks in the sunroom that are not permitted to be used by guests at any time unless prior agreement with the owner. A small child may be considered upon request at an additional charge.
The Sugar Shack is not suitable for pets as the property does not offer secure fencing and we are mindful in protecting the local wildlife.
The Sugar Shack is strictly for 2 people. An additional cleaning fee will be applied for visitor use.
Please notify us if you intend to have additional visitors.

We absolutely loved our weekend away at the Sugar Shack. The house was really comfortable and we adored the retro 1960s style. During our stay we enjoyed walking to Shell’s coffee van for morning coff...ees and freshly made cinnamon donuts, and in the evening we appreciated the peace and quiet from the front veranda as the sun set. We also spent a day exploring the Jervis Bay beaches and the town of Huskisson which are an easy drive from the Sugar Shack. We especially enjoyed delicious pasta and gelato from Pasta Buoy in Huskisson. It was an incredibly relaxing break - thank you Bronwyn for hosting us!

What a surprise, a beautiful nostalgic 50's - 60's era cottage, perfect to reach any part of the Jervis bay area. The cottage is functional, beautifully kept, clean & well sorted for overnight stays, with easy access to both Huskisson & Vincentia.
A big plus from us..!

Coffee On The Double
One of the most unique cafes! A renovated Double-Decker bus turned into a great coffee house.
Plant Shopping At The Double Decker
Coffee and lush greenery combine at this quirky Tomerong shop, adding life to our travel memories.
Hiking Around The Beautiful Farm
Go for a walk at the farm and discover the friendly wildlife.
Nature Walking At Sanctuary Point
Stepping out of the property at sunset, cold beers in our grasp, we ventured onto the nearby nature trails encircling the lake. The gentle hum of chirping birds, the warmth of the spring sun on our skin, and the aromatic scent of freshly-mown grass from neighboring yards combined to create a moment of sheer bliss.
Kayaking In The Waterway
A quiet creek that runs along the back of the property, perfect for kayaking and swimming in with friends.
Hiking Along Hell Hole Trail
Hell Hole Trail is about a 4.5km return. It's a fire trail and can get a bit muddy when it's raining. The waterfall at the end is well worth it, there was nobody there when we visited which made it even more special.
