Jam packed with treasured pieces and unique spaces all handmade by the owner, this three-bedroom two-bathroom home is certainly one of a kind.

Boasting an impressive plywood galley style kitchen with stone bench tops and all the additional features you’ll require during your stay. The design allows for a large handmade dining table to accommodate an extended group of family and friends.

It’s easy to imagine enjoying breakfast at this impressive dining table, perhaps a cup of our favourite Sixpence Coffee whilst reading one of the many magazines that are provided or catch the afternoon sun and hang out during meal prep time.

The built-in Lounge creates the perfect space to read your favourite book, to watch a movie on the smart TV or enjoy some quality time around the fireplace in the cooler months. The window seat is the perfect spot to truly relax and watch the world go by.

Decks to the north and south provide for covered indoor/ outdoor connections and effectively double the living area of the house.

The Secure backyard means plenty of fun for the kids, so they can run free on the lawns or enjoy running through the sprinkler to cool down in Summer!

E Biking Around Bright

Knowing Bright was famous for the bike tracks, we knew we wanted to go for a bike ride but didn't want to put in too much hard work. We hired E-Bikes and took off for the afternoon. We stopped at a few beautiful viewing points and picked wild apples, before stopping off for a drink at Five Acres.

Kayaking In The Ovens River

There are a number of kayak operators in the area to choose from to suit any ability. Kayak over rapids and paddle your way through the pristine streams.

Fishing

Whether it’s fly-fishing in the rivers and streams, Alpine angling in the lakes and reservoirs or catching dinner in a Trout and Salmon farm. Bright and surrounds, with its pristine waters, is sure to cater for all your fishing desires.

The main rivers of Cobungra, Ovens, Buffalo and Buckland support good self-sustaining populations of blackfish and brown trout. Access to almost all rivers is excellent with good fly- fishing possible without extensive walking. Bait fishing and spinning for trout is also a popular pastime for visitor and locals alike. Bait, fishing gear and fishing licenses can be purchased in Bright.
Ovens River

Ovens River

The beautiful Ovens, Buffalo and Buckland Rivers flow in wide valleys of cleared farmland surrounded by mountains. High annual rainfall and granite rocks in the mountains result in fast flowing, clear water rivers and tributaries. Drift along in a lilo, paddle a kayak or just cool off in summer in one of the many beautiful swimming holes.

Billy Button Wine Cellar

We were greeted by a lovely man named Grant who gave us a tasting of local wines and recommended accompaniments based on what we felt like. The name Billy Button comes from local native flowers which you can purchase that last over five years!! And look absolutely beautiful. They were a lovely keepsake to take home with us.

Tomahawks Bar Eatery

A trip to Tomahawks quickly became a staple on our holidays since it opened in 2016. Serving up some of the finest cocktails, burgers and share plates in the valley. Located in Bright, we ordered up a feast for dinner on the deck by the fire with the fam. Obviously, after a cheeky post-ride entree before heading back to the house with the banquet.
