The centrepiece of the space is a striking stone fireplace with a wood-burning stove, surrounded by cosy sofas, rugs, and mood lighting – perfect for slow mornings and fireside evenings. The kitchenette offers everything you need for light cooking, including a stovetop, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and basic cookware. The timber dining table invites you to sit, eat, or simply enjoy a cup of tea and a chat.

The bathroom blends rustic charm with modern functionality, featuring a large walk-in shower (no bath), quality linens, and warm, inviting styling. At the end of the day, sink into the super comfortable bed, made up with high-quality linen for a luxurious night’s sleep.

Outside, a private balcony offers a peaceful perch to watch the world go by, with glimpses of the surrounding escarpments and a front-row seat to the gentle rhythm of village life.

Kangaroo Valley is a truly special place – unspoiled, peaceful, and full of natural beauty. Part of what makes it so magical is the amazing native wildlife that calls this area home. From kangaroos and wombats to lizards, insects, and other curious creatures, you’ll be sharing this beautiful environment with all kinds of local residents, great and small.

You may spot some of them around Loughmore Cottage or out and about in the Valley – it’s all part of the charm! We simply ask that you respect their space, and please drive slowly and carefully during your stay to help keep them safe.

If being close to nature and the occasional encounter with a critter isn’t quite your thing, that’s totally okay – Kangaroo Valley may not be the right fit for everyone. But for those who love being surrounded by nature and wildlife, you’re in for something truly special.

We loved our stay here! The interior, fittings and furniture were amazing and it felt like stepping into a different era, with beautiful luxe finishes. I couldn’t stop taking photos to send to my frie...nds and family! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the fire made it so cosy.

The location of the cottage is literally on the doorstep of town, with the shops, old buildings, pub, bakery and cafés all within an effortless stroll. The beautiful trees, flowers and atmosphere made it such a lovely place to stay, and the locals (and all their furry friends!) were so friendly too.

Justine, our host, is a fantastic human and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She had so many great recommendations for walks, lookouts and yummy places to eat, which made exploring the area even better. It’s also a great base for waterfalls, camping and kayaking.

We loved our stay and would happily come back!

Justine’s place is exactly what it says it is - lovely and cosy. The bed is so comfortable and the shower is divine. It’s right on the Main Street, so close to everything and Justine was so friendly and had great communication. Would recommend!

Kangaroo Valley General Store & Cafe go above and beyond to make sure their patrons are well looked after and fed. A great crew of friendly staff and some awesome food including home-brew kombucha, house-baked bread and some great scones! I highly recommend the sauerkraut & avocado sandwich!
