I've looked all over VIC and I'm almost 100% sure that this is the only rock pool you can find in Victoria. This place is absolutely amazing, a great summer spot and perfect for an early morning soak.

Surfing

Not far from Inverloch, Cape Paterson is a sheltered reef break that has pretty consistent surf and can work at anytime of the year. Offshore winds are from the north. The right reef break is best.

Cliff Walk

Walk along the beach tracks from Second Surf to The Bay, and stop for lookouts along the way for a beautiful panaromaic view, including Wilson's Prom in the distance on a clear day.

The Channel

A rocky cove with a sheltered reef break and pretty consistent surf. Explore the rock pools, read on the sandstones, go for a fish, or simply enjoy the view. For those keen on a more tranquil swimming beach, The Bay is just around the corner.

Cape Paterson Beach

This little picturesque bay has it all. There’s a natural rock pool blocked off by a concrete wall dotted with children snorkelling and chasing fish. The grassy sand dunes are home to nesting birdlife.
You can relax and swim or walk the flat rocky surfaces filled with pools and sea life as the waves crash nearby covering you in ocean spray.
