It has the feel of a true rural Australian setting, is a haven for local wildlife, but is just minutes away from amazing beaches and the township of San Remo. The perfect little sanctuary for small families, couples or groups to enjoy a relaxing break!
Pets welcome, just add them in when securing your booking, max two pets.
Please bring your own logs for fire pit ( please no fires Nov- Mar.. check with us if its cool weather, not windy etc as sometimes weather will permit!)

We had a great few nights here. Quiet location but close to amenities of San Remo. Checkin process was smooth and home was clean and homely.

We had a lovely getaway at Sannyside. The house was cozy and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. Perfect for a family, close to the Main Street of San remo and able to easily drive over to Ph...illip island for some sight seeing, they even had a high chair for our little one. Ruth the host was also very responsive with messages which was fantastic. Just a couple of things that would improve the stay was that the bed was quite uncomfortable (perhaps could improve with a mattress topper) and would have been good to have access to a DVD player or something to watch a movie once the little one was in bed. Overall we had a lovely family getaway and will cherish these memories we had at Sannyside.

Our weekend getaways was exactly what we needed, warm, cozy and well equipped. San Remo a beautiful town with walks and great food, perfect for a quick weekend getaway.

Sannyside is our gorgeous cottage in stunning San Remo, Victoria.. across the bridge from the famous Phillip Island. Surrounded by beaches, our property is 2.5 acres of rural land boasting native Australian flora and fauna. A 20 minute walk into the village, shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Hibernate and enjoy peaceful tranquility around the firepit, after a day of brisk beach walks, winery visits and all that Phillip Island has to offer!

Pelican Wharf

Great little beach front to check out the pelicans, fish from the jetty and If you’re lucky you may even spot some rays during high tide.

Feeding The Pelicans

From Midday each day along the San Remo beach, you can watch the free pelican feeding frenzy. I found it pretty entertaining to sit back and watch. They are such giant birds up close!

The dog friendly walk is an easy one right along the cliff edge and stairs leading down to the beach.
You can park at Foots Beach and begin the journey there which also features BBQ and playground.

On the corner is this vibin' Cafe with wicked good coffee called "Sannyside" - outdoor tables, blankets and the style you can't help but enjoy!

Along the George Bass Coastal Walk to the Punchbowl Lookout is the Rocks Beach. Its not an easy, accessible beach, so please have your wits about you! There's abseiling ropes to help guide you down and back up again. Best on low tide. I found some caves too on the rock beach. Not a safe spot to go swimming. Wicked good spot to explore plus journey there was fun for those adventurous hearts like me!
