A cosy bush getaway 10 minutes drive from the best beaches in Jervis bay. Beautifully decorated house, with art from our creative friends and remote NT communities, indoor plants, nice lighting, comfy furniture and quality linen. Did we mention outdoor bath!?
Wake up to kookaburras, kangaroos, finches rustling in the banksias; sun streaming through the kitchen window; a coffee on the deck covered with ferns and shaded by towering gumtrees, then hit the beach(es!)! Go to sleep to the rain on the tin roof; or ideally the soft summery breeze through the gum trees; and the sound of bandicoots squeaking to their friends (the kangaroos).
This is a rustic bush block getaway - cosy and cute! We've recently done a bit of a renno - so enjoy our huge deck, outdoor shower and bath, and new and improved second wing, with fancy new bathroom and connected TV!
The seclusion + private bushy outlook is a plus, as is proximity to beaches! We are located in a small pocket of houses, a short drive to Vincentia and Huskisson. This property has stairs - so unfortunately difficult access for wheelchairs and people that struggle with mobility. Well suited to the adventurous! There's three bedrooms with double/queen bed in each; and two bathrooms, plus the outdoor shower and bath!
If you love the forest-bathing, simple shack life, looking at the trees from the bath with a glass of wine in hand, this is the house for you!

Additional Information
Our house is the perfect launch pad from which to explore Jervis Bay (and Basin!). Our bush block is set back from the road and neighbouring properties, and is secluded and peaceful. We’re surrounded by nature, so you might spot the occasional lizard or bug around the place.
The main wing has two bedrooms (with double beds), and a small bathroom (there is a quirky ‘half door’ that you might have to go through sideways). The new ‘boat house’ wing has a big bedroom with queen bed, beautiful new bathroom, and large living space (with fancy new tv), complete with euro laundry, + bar fridge. The main house living / dining area offers a well stocked kitchen, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee and tea facilities, sodastream, induction cooktop, oven, etc. There are stools for bench side dining / company while you cook, and a small dining table and couch inside. Huge deck for indoor/outdoor living; big picnic table for outdoor meals, BBQ, and comfy couches on the back deck. The split system air con / heater keeps you warm or cool in the relevant season; and a backyard fire pit is fun in the winter (no fires from 1 Sept til 1 April unforch).
There's plenty of deck space and different hideaways to get into a good book; chuck on a movie if it’s raining, or hit up the board games! (Balderdash, Monopoly, Toggle, etc)
Plenty of backyard for kids/adults to roam; currently the place is not fenced off fully from neighbours so not ideal for pets (but happy to negotiate if you've got a non-adventurous pet!)
The property backs onto a beautiful creek - Worrowing Waterway- that flows out to St Georges Basin. It's nice to take a walk along the creek at sunset or early morning (flying fish, ducks, general stillness), and it's just a short 5 minute walk through Old Erowal Bay streets to the Basin. If you feel like dragging a kayak through the bushy undergrowth/ under a fence, consider that an option on your table.
Old Erowal Bay is well situated, being one of the closest townships to Booderee National Park - about a 10 minute drive. Spend a few days / a week or two exploring all the beaches, walks, rides, kayaking adventures in the area - there's so much to do!
There's a big shopping complex 5 minutes drive away, with Woolworths, butchers, bakery, Aldi, Post office, fish and chips, pharmacy, sushi, etc. Nearby Vincentia (10 mins) has a coles, thai takeaway, good local butcher with local produce, whole foods store, & great beaches (we love the privacy of Orion beach, and Blenheim beach for shade and bush meets beach cove); while Huskisson (12/15 ish mins away) has great little cafes, beaches, shops, burgers, and beachside beers).
We’ll send through all our great local tips once you book!

We enjoyed a beautiful few days away here - such a relaxed and quiet bush setting, really thoughtful and stylish accommodation. We had early beach runs with out dog which was a fabulous way to start the day. So many options for bush walks and beaches. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place to stay. We loved the lush garden, fairy lights, outdoor bath and firepit. The home was a perfect set up with seperate dwellings for each couple, joined with an outdoor deck. Great location, close to shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend!

A beautiful peaceful hideaway in the bushes. Despite it being a very wet weekend the back porch was the perfect spot to cosy up with my book and listen to the rainfall.

My partner Laura and I, and our two kids Mabel and Percy live between Beechworth Vic, Jervis Bay NSW and are often on the road exploring! We love creating warm, inviting homes that showcase fabulous art. We love outdoor baths, natural lighting, indoor plants, and relaxing places to read a book and enjoy a glass of wine.

Worrowing Waterway Walk
Walk up the street (in direction away from Page St) and turn right into bushy block about 10 houses down. Turn right and follow the Worroring waterway along through the bush for a beautiful 10 minute walk to the St Georges Basin.
Outdoor Equipment Provided
Enjoy the outdoors with the following equipment included in your stay.
Kayak (1)
We have a two person kayak next to the house. There's paddles and 2 x life jackets in the tin /garden shed. You can carry it to the back of the property, and pull it under the fence. We've been trying to get a gate put in but no luck with our neighbour yet! It gets a bit muddy as you have to push the kayak under the fence, and then crawl under the fence... you can also push the Kayak in, and then walk out the front of the property, turn right on McGowen St and walk down to the empty block, and along the creek to the right. Shoot us a message if any questions.

Nature Walking At Sanctuary Point
Stepping out of the property at sunset, cold beers in our grasp, we ventured onto the nearby nature trails encircling the lake. The gentle hum of chirping birds, the warmth of the spring sun on our skin, and the aromatic scent of freshly-mown grass from neighboring yards combined to create a moment of sheer bliss.
Kayaking In The Waterway
A quiet creek that runs along the back of the property, perfect for kayaking and swimming in with friends.
Swimming At Blenheim
This is one of our favourite beaches. A beautiful bay enclosed by beautiful gum trees + grevilleas; nice and protected when it's windy at other beaches!
Beach Basking
We meandered to the tranquil beach, where gentle waves lapped the shore, their rhythm harmonizing with the dazzling electric blue waters. The pristine white sands sparkled under an endless azure sky. That afternoon, with the beach as our private sanctuary, we reveled in the sun's embrace and lost ourselves in nature.
Swimming At Hyams Beach
The sand is white, and the water, really blue. A short 10-minute drive from the property, calm waters of the bay makes it perfect for families with kids.

Huskisson Beach
Experience crystal clear blue waters that are home to an abundance of marine life, including bottlenose dolphins, fur seals, little penguins and weedy sea dragons.
