Crystal Creek Meadows, Kangaroo Valley is a property set on 16 acres, with three well appointed cottages (Billabong Cottage, Fleur Cottage and Jumbuck Cottage). Immerse yourself in a complete getaway from the “busy-ness” of everyday life. Surrounded by scented gardens and the landscape of Kangaroo Valley, enjoy the peace and tranquillity with abundant wildlife (Kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and plenty of wombats) at your door step.
Jumbuck Cottage is a luxurious one bedroom, one bathroom, lounge room (with dining table) cottage with a well equipped kitchen and outdoor dining area with BBQ. The cottage has free wifi, a smart tv, dual system air conditioner/heater as well as fans in the lounge room and bedroom, in winter build your own fire in your own wood fireplace.
The open plan set up is perfect for a romantic weekend away, honeymoon, babymoon and on the "bus route" for most wedding venues in Kangaroo Valley.
Please note that there is an approx. 30m walk from your parking spot to your front door down a private path.
On sunny days, take a walk through the property to Sawyers Creek, the perfect spot to set up a picnic, take a dip and give a go at throwing a fishing line. A quick 4 minute drive will bring you to Hampden Bridge, another great swimming spot or place to launch a kayak...
During the winter months, stock up on some fresh vitamin c from our citrus orchard and return to your cottage to cozy up by the wood fire place. No matter the time of year and weather, there is something to do for everyone, even if's a well deserved break with a good book!
Collect fresh eggs from our chook pen. Our friendly free range chooks, peacocks and ducks often visit the cottages to say hi.
The property is pet friendly but please note that the property isn't fenced so please be sure to keep a watchful eye on your pet at all times. We also ask that if you think that your pet may chase the chickens, peacocks, ducks or other wildlife, that you keep them on a leash when outside or walking around the property.
Our reception is open 24/7 and stocks a variety of games, DVD's and brochures of things to do in the area. You will also find wine to purchase as well as delicious frozen meals to cook in your cottage and take the stress away of organising dinner.
Children are welcome and portacots can be provided (please let us know prior to your arrival). We also have some children's toys/books available. The property does have two dams - the "Billabong" and "Summer House Dam" as well as Sawyers Creek that runs through the bottom of the property, so please ensure you are watching your children at all times.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to their own personal cottage and the surrounding grounds for walks, creek frontage for swimming and fishing, outdoor "summer house" with a BBQ and large outdoor chess board.
We live on site so are (usually) always available to help in person with any questions during your stay. You can always contact us via riparide, and our contact details are in reception as well as in the guest information found in your cottage at arrival.

We are a pet friendly establishment, and you are most welcome to enjoy the property with your extra family members.
We do ask that pets aren’t allowed on the furniture and an extra cleaning fee may apply to damaged furniture or excess mess.
Please note:
• The property isn’t fenced for dogs, so please keep an eye to ensure they don’t wander to the roads bordering the property or disturb other guests,
• We have an abundance of wildlife, and our chickens and peacocks are free range, so please keep your pet on a leash if you think they may chase them,
• We have two resident dogs on the property, they are both very friendly and will usually stay by our house but may come and say hi if they see you on a walk.
Chickens:
Our chickens, peacocks and ducks are free range and will put themselves in for bed. Please feel free to collect extra eggs should you need from their laying boxes. They would love any extra food you haven’t eaten - you can pop this on the ground in their chook pen but please be sure to remove any wrapping/plastic.
Orchard:
During late autumn and winter, our citrus should be ready to pick. We have many citrus trees around the property and would love for you to enjoy their delicious goods! There are also fresh herbs that can be found outside reception.
Firewood:
During the colder months, we will have left you with firewood for during your stay. Should you need more, you are most welcome to help yourself to our woodshed (next to reception and the big silver shed) or let us know with some notice and we can bring some to you. Kindling is also stored in the woodshed, but you will also find plenty on a quick walk around the property.
