Our stay at Somnium Barn was everything we could have wished for in a relaxing weekend getaway! The Barn is on a beautiful grassy peninsula with Coila lake circling the property. The accomodation has ...push bikes, perfect for exploring the grounds and a private beach just a short stroll away where there are kayaks which we could use at our leisure.
The Barn itself is just WOW! It is so beautiful inside and out, with the back balcony of my dreams! We spent our afternoons soaking in the sun watching the kangaroos eat the grass just meters away.
The host Jen is so lovely! She made sure we had everything we needed while also giving us full privacy with self check in and the whole property to ourselves.
The national park is just minutes away with lots to explore and the little town of Tuross Head has many beautiful beaches, lookouts and is so close for food. Otherwise the Barns kitchen and BBQ has everything you could possibly need to make your own meals.
10/10 stay! Would recommend Somnium Barn to anyone and can't wait to visit again!

Adventures Nearby
Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.
Kayaking On Coila Lake
Grab a paddle and explore Coila Lake by kayak. Watch the kangaroo & wallabies hop past on the bank, and listen to the local birds sing, all while enjoying a peaceful paddle. Mornings are often your best chance to have glass like water.
Bingie Dreaming Track
Staying at the Camp House poses a great opportunity for hiking - notably the Bingi Dreaming Track. The track stretches along 13kms of this pristine coastline, with stunning views and some great places to spot whales and other wildlife. If a whole day hike is little too much for you (it was for us coming into Summer) it's still definitely worth driving out to the beaches and doing a smaller portion of the track.
Visit Beaches Of Eurobodalla National Park
Arguably the best thing about the Camp House is your ability to lay down your book or wake up from a post-lunch nap and visit the many beaches of the Eurobodalla National Park - the closest being 4 minutes, door to sand.
Explore Cathedral Rocks Mullimburra Point
If you're a lover of natural masterpieces, Cathedral Rocks is a must! Located at Mullimburra Point in Eurobodalla National Park, this hidden gem is well worth the drive. Whether you like to take in the view of this towering pinnacle from a far, or channel your inner mountain goat and go for a climb, its a beautiful sight from any angle.
One Tree Point Lookout
This scenic lookout has panoramic coastal views, which make it a prime location for whale watching between May-November and an epic picnic spot all year round.
Fish And Chips At Tuross Boatshed
A perfect spot to grab a bite to eat for lunch or enjoy a peaceful coffee by the lake. Watch the birds dive for fish and if you're lucky you can meet some friendly local doggos.
