This unique off grid property offers comfort in a nature getaway - connect with nature by day and night. The perfect place to get away, unplug and unwind.

The living area or studio is the perfect place for any creative pursuit, painting, reading or just relaxing. There is a slow combustion stove for colder weather and for fireside slow cooking, plus a kitchen or BBQ whichever suits you best.

Right next to the Studio is our tiny house that holds the queen bed with sky roof and ensuite.

During the day you can relax in the studio, take a walk, a relaxing bath in our woodfired outdoor tub, or venture further afield either with bush walking, climbing or bouldering in some of the local terrain.

The Sky Room was the perfect place for a mid week getaway and to switch off for a couple of days. Marie was an incredible host and made sure we had anything we needed. Watching the sunrise in the morn...ing is a must, to watching the sunset by the fire of an evening, and sleeping under the stars each night from the comfiest bed! I couldn’t recommend this place higher.

The pictures don’t lie - The Sky Room is perched atop a highland in Sassafras overlooking gorgeous valleys to the east, which make unforgettable sunrise and sunset views. Everything you need is there ...so we felt well equipped despite the remote location (for the long haired people - bring your own conditioner!). Absolutely loved making use of the fireplace and the fire tub. Requires some manual work but that’s the beauty of it.
Also lots of wildlife! We were accompanied by many beautiful birds I had never seen before and a wallaby who snacked on the same patch of grass by the log pile for 30 mins.
A wonderful experience overall. Would recommend to everyone.

We spent 2 nights at the sky room and it was one of the best weekends ive ever had....
It started with surprising my new finance with a decorated cabin and bedroom where I popped the question and she... said yes!
We spent that night under an almost full moon in the wood fired hot tub just the 2 of us and nature....
The next morning we woke early to watch the amazing sunrise over jervis bay from the hot tub wich was still steamy from the night before...
We had a lazy day relaxing outside in the shade sharing a grazing platter and relaxing in nature....
That evening a southerly change came wich led us inside snuggled up on the lounge by the fire where we listened to our favourite tunes with our own version of fireside karaoke....
Sunday morning was dreamy waking up to rain on the roof of the skylight and no real hurry to get out of bed....
Overall a magical weekend away! I think we will be making this destination our annual anniversary getaway ... highly reccomend!

Tianjara Falls Lookout

If you are visiting from Canberra make sure you stop in at Tianjara Falls on the way home. It is a short walk to the viewing platform but if you are for a bit more adventure there are plenty of rock climbing routes to take advantage of!

Lookout Over Tianjara Falls

Tianjara Falls was quite a nice discovery. It's not as busy as some others and you can park just a couple of meters from the lookout. No reason not to stop by when you're in the area.

Drive Around Morton National Park

Jerrawangala Lookout

Just a short 15 minute drive and you have arrived at one of the most beautiful lookouts in the area. With its sweeping, panoramic views out over the hinterland to the coast, from Gerroa down to Ulladulla, Jervis Bay, St Georges Basin, Morton National Park and Swan Lake. This beautiful lookout has it all! A must do.

Hiking Along Hell Hole Trail

Hell Hole Trail is about a 4.5km return. It's a fire trail and can get a bit muddy when it's raining. The waterfall at the end is well worth it, there was nobody there when we visited which made it even more special.

Morton National Park

Another paradise for bushwalkers. We decided to walk the Florance Head track, just west of Milton, which leads to some amazing views of Pigeon House Mountain and the Budawangs. It is only about 6km long but it (as well as the dirt road leading to it) can get quite soggy after rainy weather so make sure to bring appropriate footwear and to be confident driving on dirt roads before heading there. We would definitely recommend walking it in spring as the wildflowers were spectacular!
