“A magical, soul-soothing escape”:

From the moment we arrived, we couldn’t stop saying “wow” — and that feeling stayed with us all two nights.
Poppy tent is pure magic. The attention to detail is ext...raordinary — the bed, the flowers, the soft lighting, the cosy chairs, the hammock, and a private fire pit ready to light. The local bubbly was a lovely touch too.
The shared shed exceeded every expectation — a spacious lounge with an indoor fire, a lovely dining area, and a kitchen stocked with everything you could need. Nothing was missing.
But it was Evan and Jenny who made this stay unforgettable. Their communication was superb throughout — warm, clear, and always ready to help. You can feel how much love they’ve poured into this place; they’ve cared for it like their own child, and it shows in every corner.
We’ve stayed in many beautiful places, and Ukiyo is one we’ll treasure for a long time. If you’re after a true escape into nature where you’ll be genuinely looked after, this is it.
Thank you, Evan and Jenny. We loved every moment.

We have lived and loved the Mornington Peninsula for over 25 years and have discovered all the little hidden gems along the way. We have made it our mission to visit every winery at least once and have walked most of the walking tracks which are breathtaking and highly recommended.

St Andrews Beach Brewery

This place earned a spot in my heart. The beer and food are excellent and the atmosphere is great. The indoor area has a nice fire pit with a cozy sofa in front of it. Outdoor, the beer garden is beautiful and they have several reserved areas (stable) where you can fit your whole crew in.
Horse Riding

Horse Riding

Explore the beautiful Mornington Peninsula on horseback. There are rides to cater for all levels of experience; from easy, slow rides to take in the scenery for beginners to exhilarating rides along the ocean beaches for those used to the saddle. Enjoy a quiet bush ride through tranquil forest trails and country lanes that lead to magnificent views of the bay. Or travel by horseback through the Mornington Peninsula National Park to ride along the wild surf coastline of the Bass Strait ocean beach.

Quench Your Thirst

A vibey brewery with a huge beer garden that was the perfect pit stop for some afternoon refreshments. We shared the wings and chips (that were next-level good), all washed down with a St Andrew's Beach Brewery lager and cider.
Cape Schanck Boardwalk

Cape Schanck Boardwalk

The boardwalk is just left of the lighthouse and its stairs lead down the colourful cliffs to the rocky beaches below. This coast is beautiful in all weather and the boardwalk offers the most amazing views.
