Quintessential coastal living with a creative soul
Dune View is the kind of beach house you don’t forget — layered, a little unexpected, and full of personality. Set amongst the dunes just moments from the ocean, this multi-level coastal retreat blends relaxed rustic charm with playful design, creating a space that feels both welcoming and wonderfully different.
Step inside through a generous mudroom-style entry — the perfect place to drop sandy shoes, beach bags and coats — before moving up into a home that unfolds across multiple levels and living zones. Natural timber, eclectic furnishings and a curated mix of artwork give the interiors an easy, lived-in feel, while large windows and elevated decks draw in the surrounding dune landscape.
There’s space here for everyone to spread out. Two separate living areas, each with their own fireplace, invite slow mornings and cosy winter evenings, while four bedrooms and three bathrooms make it ideal for families or groups sharing time together. the main living area offers sweeping views, a large TV and a Sonos sound system (extending throughout the property), whilst the second living area has a piano and a vast library of books to be enjoyed during your stay at Dune View.
Upstairs, the master suite is a peaceful retreat of its own — wrapped in glass, with a private balcony where you can sit with your morning coffee and take in the soft, rolling dune views, as well as views towards the bay and the distant city skyline.
Outdoor living is at the heart of Dune View. Multiple decks create different spaces to gather, unwind or retreat depending on the mood — from a shaded lounge with adjustable blinds, to a dedicated dining deck for long, relaxed meals. Down by the tennis court, a laid-back “Oyster Bar” offers the perfect vantage point for afternoon drinks while the game plays on.
The mineral-salt pool feels as though it’s been carved into the landscape, with organic lines and crazy paving that blend seamlessly into the garden. Nearby, a shaded deck provides a cool place to escape the sun, while the spa invites a slower pace at the end of the day.
The tennis court — complete with netting — adds a playful, resort-style element, and just beyond, a separate garden studio creates a world of its own for kids or teens, accessed by a charming driftwood ladder and filled with its own sense of adventure.
Throughout the grounds, unexpected sculptures — including a striking rhinoceros, a snail and two quietly watchful rabbit figures by renowned artists Gille et Marc— add to the home’s quirky, artistic character.
In every season, Dune View invites you to settle in. Fire up the indoor fireplaces in winter, gather around the outdoor firepit under the stars, or spend long summer days moving between beach, pool and deck.
Relaxed, creative and full of soul, this is coastal living with a difference — a place to reconnect, unwind, and enjoy the Peninsula your way.
Please note: there is a camera at the front gate of the property.
PAWfect (with a few important notes)
What fun! A new coastal house to sniff, explore and snooze in — and yes, four-legged friends are welcome to sleep inside (smaller dogs are best).
This is a very special spot, set right on the sand dunes of the National Park — which means lots of adventure, but also a few important things for my hoomans to know…
While there are outdoor areas to enjoy (especially the upper decks — perfect for lounging in the sea breeze), the property is not fully fenced, so I’ll need to be supervised when outside.
Being located within a National Park setting means that dogs are not permitted in the surrounding park areas, including the nearby ocean-side beaches and walking trails.
But don’t worry — there are plenty of dog-friendly beaches on the bay side just a short drive away, where I can run, sniff, and splash to my heart’s content.
There isn’t much grass for me on site, and with the natural dune environment comes local wildlife. Snakes can be present in the area; however, there are snake deterrents (“snake shusshers”) installed throughout the garden. My hoomans should still keep a close eye on me while I explore.
And guess what? There’s a special basket just for me. No way! What’s in there?
Ooh, ooh — a treat from PAWDINKUM.
I LOVE THIS PLACE (best enjoyed together).
