Dimmicks Coastal Walk
We strolled the lush coastal walk to Dimmicks Beach admiring the wildness of this secluded Mornington back beach. We sat on timber bench chair, mesmerised by the rough swell crashing against the rugged rock formations forming pools and mini water falls.
Hidden Cave Rock Pool
We found this pool rock that was nestled in a cave during low tide part of Pirates Bay Cave. Awesome spot for the brave hearted! Easy walking to get to but you'll need some good shoes to get down to the pools as the rocks are super sharp. We parked off on the nature strip on Royadie Rd and took the little track to the left of the fenced area.
Exploring Rock Pools
The tourist attraction at Number 16 beach is the Dragon's Head. Although we were there at low tide for the rool pools! We found heaps of sea creatures as well as some caves and rock pools deeper enough to swim in! Great place to explore and looked like a top place to fish too! Beautiful beach.
Chase The Sunset
Head to one of the more westerly facing beaches to catch those golden rays across the ocean at sundown.
No 16 Beach
This picturesque spot with clay coloured cliffs and soft sand is the perfect spots to watch the wild ocean and get your ocean therapy. At low tide you can spot the Dragon's Head rock formation.
