This beautiful, massive ocean pool sits at the south end of Pearl Beach and is ideal for some laps, a sun soaking session, or even just some sea slug spotting. Keep walking around the rocks and headland to explore the rock pools that are filled with life, and look back across to the Palm Beach headland from there.

Pearl Beach Lookout

This little hike gives you such a beautiful view of Pearl Beach! Turn right onto a small side road on Patonga Dr and follow the path off to the left. It's about a 5-minute walk, and you'll see a clearing up on your right! Definitely a great spot to check out.

Flora Sanctuary Walk

A little circuit walk that feels like a rainforest! There are some good trees to climb too.

Mount Ettalong Lookout

Head off on a walk up to Mount Ettalong Lookout for beautiful views of Umina and Ettalong Beaches.

Hiking The Pearl Beach To Patonga Track

We started our weekend with a hike along the Pearl Beach to Patonga track. Starting at Pearl Beach, this track winds its way up to the top of the mountain then down the other side to Patonga. There were plenty of flowers, given it was spring, and as you leave Pearl Beach it's more rainforest and caves before opening up to beautiful views. At the top of the walk is the Warrah Lookout, where, even on a cloudy day, you can see for ages! A chorus of cockatoo calls kept us company on the way back, echoing through the valley. We then hiked back and had lunch at Pearl Beach – bring your togs if the weather is nice as the beach is beautiful.
