Additional Information

Come and slow down in the quiet beauty of the Blue Mountains, where the trees are tall, the air is fresh and life seems to move at a gentler pace.

Tucked into a generous garden, this much-loved home and separate studio offer a place to gather, rest, play and reconnect. There’s space for everyone — from lazy mornings with coffee in the garden to long lunches around the outdoor table, evenings gathered around the fire and nights listening to the sounds of the bush.

Pick herbs and vegetables from the garden, watch the kids bounce for hours on the huge 4m trampoline, challenge someone to a game of table tennis or simply find a sunny patch of grass and do nothing at all.

This is a place for muddy feet, warm fires, shared meals and stories that stretch late into the evening. A place where children can roam, grown-ups can exhale, and everyone can reconnect with the simple pleasures of being outdoors.

Come to breathe deeply, wander slowly and remember how good it feels to have nowhere else to be.

A little home among the trees, waiting to be lived in.

I live in the Blue Mountains of NSW, Australia yet I am American born and raised. I have been living in Australia for over 30 years and LOVE it. I am an outdoor enthusiast with special interests in bushwalking, paddling, canyoning, climbing and scuba diving. I live in a eco-home with solar power and tank water where I grow the family veggies. I have kids, dogs, horses, chooks, goats and a couple of shed cats. Aside from exploring the bush, I love to practice yoga, to cook organic delicious food, listen to music that speaks to me, read a good book and to swim in the ocean. Coffee Stop

Before descending into the valley, stop in for a coffee and take in the breathtaking, panoramic views of the Megalong Valley from one of Australia’s most grand, historic hotels.
Fun Fact: Mark Foy once owned both The Hydro Majestic and Foy's Folly, and Foy's once supplied the Hydro Majestic with produce sent up the mountain via flying fox!

Walls Cave Track

A beautiful short walk not too far from the cabin. This walk takes you down to a small canyon where you can explore small tunnels that have been created many, many years ago. Sooooo cool.

Grand Canyon Walking Track

Grand Canyon Walking Track

This is one of my favourite walks in the Blue Mountains. Surrounded by beautiful sandstone walls and dense forest you can't go wrong with this one, it's just amazing from the beginning to end. The whole loop is around 6.3km so make sure you pack some lunch and don't forget to bring plenty of water.
