Al Fresco Dinner And A Sunset At The View

There can’t be better pizza than The View, and the shop next door stocks the best wines. If someone forgot to bring wine glasses they’ll even give you classy plastic cups with a smile! Deliriously happy al fresco pizza and watching the storm roll in. Love this place!

Poke Bowl At Killcare

I scoffed a top-notch Poke bowl from the highly recommended The Fat Goose and it did not disappoint. There’s a multitude of helpful signs down here of all the fun things you can do and hire.

Pretty Beach And Durras Mountain

The aptly named Pretty Beach is sure to please everyone. Epic views, wildlife and a range of walks make it one of our favourite places in the Shoalhaven. It was not your typical sunny and blue skies type of day, however, we decided to brave the elements and to climb Durras Mountain regardless. The walk continues all the way to Pebbly Beach if you feel like a full day walk but we decided to turn back and to then walk south along the coast. Storm clouds brought out the wild in the long empty beaches littered with driftwood and reminded us that less than perfect weather can sometimes be much better.

Kayak Stand Up Paddle Boarding

The house provided us with two adult kayaks and two stand-up paddle boards. We ended up having an 'amazing race' in the water against each other!

Box Head Trail

This specific spot was a bit of local knowledge I got from a mate who actually lives in the area. Unfortunately, we didn't have a 4WD with us at the time so we're unable to drive the whole way down the road. We did manage to park up and hike it instead which is also doable if you're up for it! Walking out onto box head was amazing, you can see all the way down to Tallows Beach and on a clear day can see all the way to Manly and Bondi.
Definitely worth a look!
