If you have a few more beans in the can you can stroll along the beach to Copacabana where you ll find more shops, restaurants and cafes to choose from. After a day at the beach, or perhaps out on the bushwalking trails, head home and relax on the rear deck and soak up the sounds of nature as the sun sets. With a log burning fireplace this home is perfect all year round.

The Area:
Macmasters Beach is one of the best beaches on the Central Coast. Boasting a great right hand point break, a beach break at Tudi (off the lake mid way along the beach) and Copa point there is always a wave to enjoy. The beach is patrolled during the summer months and there is a rock pool at the southern end of the beach for the little ones. There is a kids playground just opposite the beach and the surf club has a kiosk as well as a bar that is open on Friday and Sunday nights where you will meet all the friendly locals. The beach is dog friendly from the headland heading north to just past the lagoon.

Kayaking Around Cockrone Lagoon

One of the perks of being perched up by the water is the ability to roll out of bed and straight into a kayak on Cockrone Lagoon. Paddle all the way over to the coastline where you’ll have your pick of having a dip at either MacMasters or Copacabana Beach. Don’t miss the rope swing on the way out!

Marine Discovery Centre Coffee

We stopped in at Parklife Coffee for a small snack and coffee. The park overlooks the protected Terrigal Lagoon, with amazing bird life and native plants, and includes a children’s playground for parents to enjoy their coffee while watching the kids play. Alongside the cafe is The Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre. While it is kid-focused we also learnt some fun facts about Port Jackson sharks, explored the whale, bird and heritage exhibits and observed the fish and shark tanks. A great educational experience for adults and kids!
