We had a wonderful stay at the Love Shack. The view was absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful and beautiful backdrop throughout our visit. It was a nice and private retreat, perfect for relaxation.... The Love Shack itself was cozy and charming, making us feel right at home. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a serene getaway!

Great mix of ‘European-style’ crabby chic, with modernity where you want it (microwave, kitchenette, bathroom & TV for a romantic film or two). Bed as a couch in the living room was odd so we didn’t r...eally sit on it. But would be good if you had a toddler with you. The timber & pebble & mosaic entry and stone building oozed Italy or Spain. It felt like we were eating on a balcony in Tuscany!
It’s a little awkward accessing down the side of the big house having to walk directly past the front doors & windows. Lucky for us though it was empty, so we breezed pat without a care in the world ;)
The 2-burner stove was so good for a romantic dinner in, which we did using products from Torello Farm. We made a sauce with their tomatoes & shallots & combined it with their spinach shells. So fresh & delicious, we both ate too much!
We walked around Arthur’s Seat circuit track (twice) and came across a mother & joey feeding. We stood/knelt within 2m of them just quietly for about 10mins. A wonderful experience, but so close it’s clear how strong they are…those muscles!
We did a fantastic gin workshop at Bass & Flinders (must book). A short 10-15min drive in Dromana. The historical stories were wonderful & the mixing was a joy. We each took our own mix home & cannot wait to open & try them! Try it, but beware they let you taste everything they have! Maybe an Uber is a good idea…

The Love Shack was perfect for a weeks getaway. It was thoughtfully furnished and presented. The outdoor deck serene and sunny. Private and close to village and a beautiful beach. Host was always very responsive. A beautiful spot in nature. Highly recommend.

I’m a mother of 2 little munchkins and have found the Mornington peninsular to be an absolute haven. I really enjoy making the love shack as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and want to share the experience. I’m happy to go that extra mile to make your stay memorable.

An Unforgettable Sunset
The balcony at The Love Shack is fully equipped with a Weber and seating to take full advantage of the sea views from its location on the hill. It was a picture perfect spot to have dinner and a few reds while we watched the sky turn from a golden yellow to night blue. The stars were pretty epic too! Definitely the highlight of our stay.

Balcombe Estuary Circuit Walk
This is a lovely walk along the estuary. Take in the surrounding nature and fresh air and walk for as little or long as you like. Great after grabbing a coffee in Mt Martha village.
Arthurs Seat Summit Walk Enchanted Garden
On the way home we tackled Arthur's Seat Summit walk and took some time to enjoy sprawling views of the Mornington Peninsula. We also dropped by the Enchanted Garden and felt like big kids walking on the treetops and tackling the mazes.
Hot Hut Yoga
A beautiful drive to Red Hill, this yoga studio forces you to relax the second you walk in. Enjoy a mat by the fireplace and the outlook is on a lush garden. Great way to start your day.

Horse Riding
Explore the beautiful Mornington Peninsula on horseback. There are rides to cater for all levels of experience; from easy, slow rides to take in the scenery for beginners to exhilarating rides along the ocean beaches for those used to the saddle. Enjoy a quiet bush ride through tranquil forest trails and country lanes that lead to magnificent views of the bay. Or travel by horseback through the Mornington Peninsula National Park to ride along the wild surf coastline of the Bass Strait ocean beach.
Quench Your Thirst
A vibey brewery with a huge beer garden that was the perfect pit stop for some afternoon refreshments. We shared the wings and chips (that were next-level good), all washed down with a St Andrew's Beach Brewery lager and cider.
Peninsula Hot Springs
Victoria’s natural hot springs offers the ultimate pampering for a sore body. Take your swimmers, towel and picnic and enjoy a whole day of hopping from pool to pool. You will feel reborn.
