The Orchard Cottage is tucked away in the rolling hills and gentle slopes of Wooragee valley between Beechworth and Yackandandah, North East Victoria.

As you enter the 14.5-acre property, you will drive over an old wooden bridge built over a creek running through the property. A graceful weeping willow hugs the stream bank brushing the bridge, providing welcome summer shade. The Beechworth to Yackandandah Rail Trail is a 31km sealed trail meandering through the spectacular Indigo Shire. The trail is open for all to enjoy and passes right outside our front gate

The three bedroom Orchard Cottage sleeps 6 and has everything, modern spa, separate shower, woodfire, well equipped kitchen with full-sized fridge and gas stove, reverse cycle air con and more. The cottage has front and back verandahs with views, rustic furnishings and old world charm all set in a peaceful country setting. There is a Weber bbq and outdoor setting for six on the rear verandah for those family gatherings or perfect for rekindling old friendships.

COTTAGE DETAILS
This spacious cottage has three bedrooms separate from the main living area. It features a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, plus a spa bath in the bathroom. The living area includes a Wi-Fi, CD player, iPod docking station, LCD TV and DVD player. The large balcony has views over the gardens.

Two bedrooms have a Queen bed and the third 2 singles.

Guests receive a free breakfast basket supplied on the first morning, which includes bacon, eggs, breakfast cereal, bread, and butter.

The cafes, restaurants, and supermarket in Beechworth town centre are only a short 12-minute drive away. Colby Cottages Wooragee is located halfway between the historic towns of Yackandandah and Beechworth.

We spent the long weekend at the Orchard Cottage and we had an amazing time! From the seamless check-in process to the thoughtful amenities provided, every detail was carefully considered to ensure a ...comfortable and enjoyable stay. The cottage felt like a world away and Jamie and Linda made it feel like home. We spent time exploring the property, visiting the animals that called it home and playing cricket in the sunshine. The s...tars at night were so vibrant and clear.

After a quick stop at Woolshed Falls, we walked a few dog-friendly trails through Beechworth Historic Park which was exactly what the soul needed.

Due to lockdown's the property had not been used for 10 or so weeks. Jamie and Linda were so helpful and accomodating in trying to rectify issues from non-use. We loved our time at Orchard Cottage and would love to return for a longer period of time.

The Orchard Cottage was beautifully put together and carefully maintained. The location was idyllic and great for exploring Beechworth and surrounds. Hosts Linda and and Jamie were really welcoming an...d lovely. The only issue was a persistent unpleasant smell in the cottage which meant we had to have windows open while heating was on throughout our late June stay. Linda and Jamie went to great lengths to locate it, checking gas, moving the fridge and looking in the floor and roof.
