We stayed here for two nights and from the moment I walked through the door, the whole place felt like an exhale.
The cabin is absolutely stunning. We loved all the old implements and pieces of histo...ry that have been thoughtfully used as features throughout — there was something beautiful to notice everywhere, without it ever feeling overdone. It has warmth, character and a sense of calm that is hard to describe until you are actually there.
We arrived just after the anniversary of my son’s passing, and I hadn’t realised quite how much I needed somewhere that allowed me to simply stop. This place did that. I could feel myself unwind, breathe a little deeper and just be.
A truly beautiful little escape, and one I’ll remember for much more than just the cabin itself. Thank you for creating such a special place.

Echo Ridge cabin was such a cozy and relaxing stay. perfect for a tranquil weekend away from hustle and bustle. cows and spa were a bonus ! owners were very helpful and kind too. definitely would come back !!

Perfect cabin, everything you would possibly need is available, the bed is so comfy, the pool table is great for slow days, the spa perfect, the views are beautiful and the town is cute. Buchan Caves ...a walk away the The Bluff fantastic place to cool off. Rosie and her hubby (sorry I forgot his name) were really lovely hosts. We'll be back for sure!

Fishing
The Buchan River flows past your cottage. The river has good for fishing for trout, black fish and eel.
Moon Hill Walk
Set out on this short walk that leads to viewpoints overlooking the reserve and the Buchan Valley. The trail passes by Moon Cave, so bring a torch so you can explore the entrance. Follow the track past the Devils Punchbowl, a large collapsed cave system, and up to the top of the hill. From here you can see the extent of the exposed limestone on both sides of the valley in the reserve. Continue on a little further to the lookout and be rewarded by beautiful views of the Buchan Valley.
