The Barn stay provides luxurious accommodation with private access to the Ovens River. Located on our 10-acre property, Burrow and Nest, The Barn is an outbuilding to the family home, along with our other farm stay The Stables.

You will be within 10 minutes to the tourist town of Bright and in winter enjoy the close proximity of skiing and snowboarding at Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, a short 45-minute drive. Great local attractions and an amazing array of restaurants and award-winning pubs.

This stunning conversion from an old working barn to modern space is everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. A loft area upstairs with two single beds allow family or friends to join you, downstairs you will find a queen bed decked out with the same luxury linen as the loft. The kitchen has an induction stove top and all the set up you will need for a night in. A soft leather couch is perfect to curl into and if you are not willing to share, there are two Warwick covered arm chairs. An outdoor fireplace and BBQ and seating area also provides another space. There is also a picnic area by the river in Summer, Autumn and Spring and Winter fires can be enjoyed dependant on weather.

PLEASE NOTE
There is a television with memory stick with movies supplied as we do not have access to free television in the valley. We can offer wifi from the main house but you may need to wander outside for connection. A beautiful part of the world. Perfect position for alpine explores and adventures. The barn was cute and cosy, the surrounds were peaceful and restorative and the hosts were warm and friendly. Quite fancy making the move up that way ourselves.

What a great property! The barn was so cozy, more than enough for our little family of three. Private access to the Ovens River is priceless, as was the interactions with the wildlife. Perfect weekend away, will visit again, even just to visit Samson the sheep 😎

Mountain Bike Riding

The MTB trail network at Bright offers a unique mix of riding opportunity for beginner through to expert. The trails are mostly hand-built and have been developed and improved over many years. The area encompasses everything from flat fire-road to incredibly steep and technical climbs and descents, from novice to expert; you will find a track to challenge you.
Canyon Walk

Canyon Walk

Starting from Howitt Park head towards the Star Road Bridge. The track on the northern bank of the Ovens River has steep steps. Cross either of the suspension bridges to create a short or long loop. This walk takes you past a small canyon carved by the Ovens River and water races dug by early miners. Watch for birdlife and wild flowers especially in spring.
