The cabin kitchen and bathroom were clean and had everything you need to cook with. The decor and bedding was quite dark and dated, felt like it could use a refresh. It was strange having Xmas decorat...ions around in September, old stuffed toys and ornaments, it didn’t feel fresh. The cabin is right on the golf course, we spotted a couple of kangaroos, had a game of tennis and a swim in the pool. Fitzroy Falls was a nice day out for a bushwalk and not too far to drive. Glad we brought all our own food as the bakery was closed in Town and not many food options for young kids. Very peaceful location, a quiet place with beautiful views. Would suit older couples.

Had a lovely stay in the cabin on the golf course with roo mates a plenty. Was very clean, as pictured and well equipped. Recommend reading Jenny’s instructions on how to get there ahead of time (particularly look at the map of the golf resort) if you’re arriving after dark.

Had the whole place to ourselves for a fun afternoon of "Wombat Hunting" (no wombats were hurt but there was plenty to see and maps were made!)

Cross The Bridge Behind Pioneer Village Museum

Behind The Pioneer Village Museum is a long suspension bridge and a lovely bushwalk which was perfect for kids. We had so much excitement while crossing the bridge, finding paper daisies and moss on granite, and checking out potential wombat homes we came across, there are little signs on the trees to keep you from getting lost

Lunch Out The Back At The Friendly Inn Hotel

Mouthwateringly tender beef cheeks that fell apart at fork touch, cold tap beers, kids meals, a playground and a view! I basked in the winter sun among friendly dogs and slow-paced locals living their best life, the kids had ample paddock to roam... BLISS. I absolutely melted and thought I might not even be able to drag myself away from this place

Mary Poppins Handbag Of Bookshops

From the front, this first appears to be a tiny little shop but it just keeps going back and back and back. A magical experience weaving through the maze of bookshelves eventually landing in a leadlight windowed light-filled room filled with the loveliest children's books. We browsed for hours and left with armfuls!
