I spent 3 nights with my 2 daughters, and we had a great time at the P&S Cottage. The house is very cosy, well equipped and in a quiet area. We loved the bedrooms and the kitchen/dining area. The fireplace was great too and having a bath after a long walk was very relaxing.

The cottage was not as portrayed in the photos
The verandas and gardens were a mess. It is also very close to the hosts house and their neighbours.
The inside was clean apart from the oven which we ...couldn’t use as it was very dirty. The cooktop was also dirty.
The aircon didn’t work so the house was freezing. The fireplace was dirty from the last use and there were only large logs no kindling. The host did provide this eventually however we had already gone back to Bright bought our own in an effort to warm the house.
There were blankets on the sofas however they were stained and dirty and we felt uncomfortable using them.
There were no drinking glasses and only a couple of mismatched wine glasses which had to be washed.
The electric blanket didn’t work in the double bed in the second room and was not replaced before we left. Our booking changed from 3 to 2 so this would have been a bigger issue if there was 3 of us. We could only used the single bed as it was so cold.
We would not stay there again.

Joops Jetty
This swimming hole was created when a section of the Ovens River was cut off from the main river to dredge for gold. It has been converted to a swimming hole by volunteers who have built a jetty and floating pontoon. The lake is nestled in amongst a mix of tall native and European trees, with walking tracks around the edge of the lake and through the surrounding forest.
Snowball Fights At Mount Hotham
The forecast predicted a lot of powder snow and did the snow gods deliver! We geared up, drove up to Mount Hotham, and bared the blizzard-like cold just to get a bit of snowball fight action. The wonderful people who work tirelessly along the mountain road were extremely helpful, helping us to put our (very much needed) snow chains on our tires.

Rivers Around Bright
The beautiful Ovens, Buffalo and Buckland Rivers flow in wide valleys of cleared farmland surrounded by mountains. High annual rainfall and granite rocks in the mountains result in fast flowing, clear water rivers and tributaries. Drift along in a lilo, paddle a kayak or just cool off in summer in one of the many beautiful swimming holes.
Eurobin Falls Mount Buffalo
Relax with a picnic taking in the sights and sounds of the mesmerizing. In the warmer months, you can have a refreshing dip at Ladies Bath, just 400m from the car park. (1.5km - 45 mins return)
Chased One Waterfall Found Another
Quite funnily, we went hunting for the Lady Bath Waterfall (which online forums say is VERY easy to find). My friends in the car who were on directions were sure we had made it to the correct car park. So we got out, had a look around, the guys stripped off and went for a swim in the icy mountain water... all to find as we got back in the car that we were just a matter of hundreds of metres to the correct car park. I guess up at Mount Buffalo the waterfalls are endless AND beautiful, regardless which one you go to.
