Additional Information

BUS DETAILS
The bus has everything you need: a fridge and single-burner cooktop for cooking, plus toaster and kettle. There's a hot shower and a waterless composting toilet. We run on beautiful fresh rain water so please be conscious of water usage. The bus has air-conditioning and heating, or you can open the windows to catch the delightful through-breezes.

Outside, a fire pit, some lounge chairs and a small BBQ provides that country ambience. If the weather turns bad, you can bunker down indoors in the cosy bus and enjoy the sound of rain falling on the roof. Firewood is provided at $20 per bag if you wish to utilise this service.

We provide sheets and towels. Soap, shampoo, tea and coffee. There is a comfortable, plush queen bed in the bedroom. The bus is best suited for adults due to its location beside a beautiful large dam we call our lake. But feel free to discuss further if you would like to have infants in tow.

Our beautiful bus is very comfortable. Like all vintage spaces, it has its quirks; please be aware of these. We describe a stay here as ‘bus-king’: not quite camping, not quite cottage.

Please note there is no wifi but very good mobile and 4G reception.

Guest Access
The bus has a paddock all of its own on our working farm! The areas around the bus paddock are not included in this listing. There is a large beautiful dam not far from your door step where you can enjoy the ducks, lake vista and occasional our resident pelican comes to chill for a little while. Please enjoy the tranquility from afar but be mindful the dam is deep and there is strictly no swimming or dam access please.

Interaction with Guests
We are available to you via phone during your stay for any little questions you may have! Feel free to give us a call!

The Local Area
Kangaroo Valley is often described as one of the most beautiful towns in NSW with its incredible escarpments, creeks, rivers and farms. It's the perfect place for some time away to reconnect with everything. The Valley offers bushwalking, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, cycling, mountain biking, quaint shops and top quality food. The bus is located 3.5km from Kangaroo Valley Township.

Other things to note
The bus is located in a paddock all of its own on a working family farm. You may see our family out and about on the farm from time to time - moving cows and sheep or doing some weeding! Please stay within the bus area and view the animals from afar.
The bus is not a child friendly venue.

We stayed at the Bedford on scanzi over the June long weekend and we absolutely loved it! We switched our phones off and felt totally disconnected which was well needed. The cold nights rugged up watc...hing movies on the projector provided in the bus was so much fun and the town is such a great place for a day trip. we had lunch at the friendly inn where they had live music throughout the weekend, great food and cold beers. We 100% recommend

Had a lovely couple of days staying in the Bedford bus on Scanzi, what a beautiful, peaceful location immersed in nature.
It was lovely to sit outside in the morning in the sun, you could see it rise ...from the comfortable bed.
The van was cosy and warms up quickly with the heater on a cold night.
Amazing views of the hills and mountains nearby.
Lovely walks, we did Red Rocks Trig walking track which rewards you with a fantastic view.
The view from Cambewarra mountain is beautiful, so are the banana smoothies in Kangaroo Valley:)
Today we stopped in Berry on our way back to Sydney and had a yummy breakfast at the Berry bakery!
Thanks to Abby and Bob for the local information and sharing your piece of paradise 🙏

Hi! I'm Abby and with my partner Bob are the proud hosts of the awesome The Bedford on Scanzi! I am a true 'Valley Local' as some call it, growing up on a dairy farm in Kangaroo Valley. Bob, I and our three kiddos love spending our spare time exploring and going on mini adventures hiking, 4WD and fishing. Most of our time is spent on our farm tending to the cows and sheep. We are lucky enough to have our own little slice of paradise which we want to share with you.
