Pet-friendly
Come and stay on a storybook farm, where barnyard animals and Australian native creatures get to live in paradise, and so do we. Splash in our pristine stream, take forest walks in fragrant fresh air, and tell stories by a campfire at night.
You can enjoy watching many varieties of native birds cruising in and out of the ponds to join our resident pekin ducks and pilgrim geese. Take beautiful walks around the farm and stream. A Bonnie the Border Collie will politely invite you to a game of 'fetch the stick'.
Mini Haha waterfall and swimming hole is ten minutes down the road. The farm is central to attractions such as the charming fishing village of Port Albert, Tarra Bulga National Park and its mystical fern gullies, Ninety Mile Beach and Wilson's Prom. The friendly town of Yarram is 20 km from the farm and provides a welcoming club, coffee shops, supermarkets and hotel counter meals. The cottage is a drive on a sealed road from Yarram, immersed in glorious scenery.
Dogs and pets are welcome by negotiation if they are clean, quiet, and kept on a leash while outdoors. If you have such a zero-impact pet, please get in contact Bob, and have a conversation. Prior permission is essential.

Bob's farm is a beautiful slice of peace and tranquillity and a wonderful place to rest and recharge. The accommodation itself is humble but comfortable and has all the basic amenities provided.
Conn...ecting with nature is very easy, I took walks around the farm and watched the sheep, listened to the birds, saw the geese go for swims in the pond. Easy to access bush walks and hikes at the national parks if you're up for a drive too.
Highly recommend.

This is the second time we've visited Bob's farm with our little family, and we absolutely love it. It's such a beauiful and peaceful little slice of earth, and we always leave feeling relaxed and ref...reshed. The kids love running around and exploring the property, making leaf boats to sail in the creek and talking to the chickens. Bob is very kind and friendly, and we will definitely be visiting again! We also love nearby walks in the Tara Bulga national park on the drive up, and pies for lunch at the Yarram bakery on the way home!

We had a lovely few days at the cottage. Before we arrived Bob kindly sent a list of things to do around the area which were great to explore. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. Bob’s farm is set... in a beautiful and peaceful spot. As it was winter we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit stargazing. Our ten year old enjoyed having the space to play with the farm dogs and their puppies. This is a great place to switch off.

Minniehaha Falls
When you come out of the Dessents rd turn left and follow the sign that says Hiawatha. Just drive for a few minutes and you will see the sign. Don't take Holland Rd unless you have a 4WD
Mountain Drive
When you are in the area, make sure to take in all the scenery. When we came out of the Desserts rd we turned left. Just drive for a few minutes, and you will see the sign saying Christie Albert River Rd and follow the road for as long as you desire. Don't take Holland Rd unless you have a 4WD.
Agnes Falls
About a half hour drive from Yarram, the Agnes River drops sixty metres creating a beautiful drop over many stone ledges. The surrounding grounds are well kept as a public picnic area - a delightful place for lunch. Access is from Welshpool; take the road opposite the primary school. The falls are well signposted. The falls are a 39 minute drive away.
Hiking
Superb Mountain Ash and Mrytle Beech provide a cool and sheltered environment for ferns and birdlife. Clearwater streams amble through the two parks, with a waterful and swing bring over a deep fern gully adding to the attractions. The walks are short and comfortable. There is nothing nicer than a picnic in the park be it to shelter during the heat of summer, or to enjoy the crispness of the air in winter.
Access: From Yarram via Devon North, or from Traralgon. Note the Tarra Bulga National Park - 50 minute drive away.
