COTTAGE DETAILS
French Cottage is fully renovated with hydronic heating through out for the winter and airconditioning and nice shaded verandahs to keep cool in the summer.

You have access to the entire self contained house which has three queen size bedrooms and two bathrooms, but please make sure you book for the correct number of guests as additional bedrooms may be locked if we don’t think you need them for your stay.

Our beautiful French garden is also available for small intimate private gatherings, including small weddings. Talk to us about this option if you are considering booking French Cottage and we can discuss further.

Such a beautiful characterful home. So much charm from the beautifully kept garden to the quaint floor boards and other original features of this historical Cottage. Every modern convenience you cou...ld ask for making it a comfortable, relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed the walk around Sambell Lake a very short walk from the cottage. Jo our host was so helpful and positive. We highly recommend French Cottage in beautiful Beechworth.

Our stay at the cottage was so lovely, our only regret was not staying longer than 3 nights. The rooms were spacious and tidy and the decor was really lovely. Andrew was great to communicate with and Joanne made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We'll definitely be returning.

Well this was positively lovely!! Andrew and Jo were very responsive from the moment we booked this trip with lots of helpful tips on where to eat and what to do with our time in Beechworth. There are... three beautifully appointed bedrooms and two bathrooms. All so tastefully decorated. From the moment we opened the cottage door the house was so toasty warm - a good thing because a cold front came through and it was 7 degrees!! The cottage was so clean and the kitchen was well appointed with more than what we needed for our stay. The organic crumpets were a hit!! The beds were incredibly comfortable with gorgeous linen and lovely bath products and fluffy towels! There was ample room to lock our four bikes in the bike cage. The rooms were all equiped with magnetic phone charging stations and every little detail was considered. We will be back in September to finish the indigo epic mountain bike track. We loved the French Cottage.

Woolshed Falls

The Falls are a popular destination for nature lovers and history buffs. The area was once the center of one of the richest goldfield’s in Australia, where up to 8,000 prospectors camped along the banks of Spring Creek, in search of their fortune.

Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park

Located between Beechworth and the low hills surrounding Chiltern, the park contains the highest number of mammal, bird and reptile species recorded at any Box-Ironbark site. Over 200 bird species have been recorded; including threatened woodland species such as the Regent Honeyeater, Swift Parrot, Turquoise Parrot and Square-Tailed Kite. The park includes the striking Mt Pilot Range and Woolshed Falls and protects box-ironbark forest that once covered much of northeast Victoria.
