The Hidden Gem at Rye is the quintessential Aussie holiday shack with a fully renovated kitchen and bathroom.
The house sleeps 6. The perfect house for a larger family with kids or for a smaller family with the grandparents. Great place for a mums' getaway too with only a short 5 minute drive to the Peninsula Hotsprings. We don't forget the boys either....convenient base for a golfing weekend.
We do allow dogs to stay on a case by case basis. Just drop us a message prior to booking to confirm you can bring your fur baby with you.

At the moment you have access to the house, garden and shed.

The house opens up to a lovely flat backyard perfect for spending time on the verandah. Have a BBQ with friends and family whilst you watch the kids play happily on the large expansive lawn.

Guests can feel free to phone, text or email myself throughout their stay.

The Hidden Gem at Rye is located in the tranquil Tyrone Beach region of the Mornington Peninsula. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk to the calm waters on the Tyrone foreshore where there are toilets and a shower available. If you have young kids there is a great playground a short 10 minute stroll from the house. We are a 4 minute drive from the beach and a 4 minute drive from the Rye shops.

The fully renovated bathroom has a bath. Perfect for bathing young kids or a lovely space to relax with a wine.

We have a security camera on the driveway for the safety of our guests.

We have a springfree trampoline which is available for guests to use.

We do allow dogs. We ask that the dogs spend most of their time outside and just come inside for sleeping. Please keep dogs off beds and couches. We provide a dog bowl, pooper scooper and bags. You'll need to bring your own doggy bedding.
There is an added cost of $10 per pet per night when you bring your furry friend

What a lovely, peaceful and cozy home. Our young family loved staying at Leonie's Hidden Gem. We had everything we needed, including a trampoline for the kids, to have a wonderful long weekend get away. Excellent communication from Leonie also, made everything easy.

We had such a lovely stay at The Hidden Gem and Leonie was super helpful! Kids loved the trampoline and the bunk room with colouring and lovely selection or kids books. Kitchen was well stocked with c...ooking utensils and had everything we needed for cooking for the 5 of us. Also perfect location for exploring the Peninsula. Thank you for a great stay!

Crystal clear waters and long stretches of sandy beaches make Port Phillip Bay a dream on a hot summers day. Walk beyond the sandbars into gently lapping waves and cool off.

Sunset At Tyrone Beach

It's the bay beach at the end of Flinders St. Lovely family friendly beach with nice walk through the teas trees and plenty of cute bathing boxes. There was no one there so we could have our own moment! The sunset was unbelievable.

Swimming At Rye Main Beach

We enjoyed a tad chilly saltwater dip at the Rye main beach next to the pier. The water was so clear and still, we could see all the gorgeous sand ripples and also came across a little stingray!

Barefoot Beach Walks

The Rye foreshore makes for a picturesque spot to walk along the sand, admire scattered sea-shells or just contemplate the day amidst the serenity that the calm bay provides - especially at sunset!

Swimming And Snorkelling

Port Phillip Bay and Westernport Bay are stunning locations for swimming and snorkelling. Explore the crystal clear waters around the piers and take in the magical underwater sea creatures. During low tide it is also possible to snorkel the rock pools at the back beaches.
