Additional Information
The Cabin has everything you need: a fridge and double-induction hotplate for cooking, plus toaster and kettle. There's a large hot shower and a compost toilet (We run on beautiful fresh rain water so please be conscious of water usage.) The cabin has air-conditioning and heating, or you can open the double doors to catch the delightful through-breezes.
Outside, a bath overlooking "the lake" and fire pit, lounge chairs on the deck and a BBQ provides that country ambience. Firewood is provided at $20 per bag if you wish to utilise this service.
If the weather turns bad, you can bunker down and get cosy indoors or relax on the deck and watch the rain fall on "the lake".
We provide lush sheets and towels. Natural soaps, shampoo, dishwashing liquid and the essential tea and coffee. There is a comfortable, plush queen bed in the bedroom and a fold out sofa bed in the living area. The cabin is best suited for adults due to its location beside a beautiful large dam we call our lake. But feel free to discuss further if you would like to have infants in tow.
Please note there is no wifi but very good mobile and 4G reception.
Guest Access
The cabin has a paddock all of its own on our working farm! The areas around the cabin paddock are not included in this listing including the large dam. There is a large beautiful dam not far from your door step where you can enjoy the ducks, lake vista and occasionally, our resident pelican comes to chill for a little while. Please enjoy the tranquility from afar but be mindful the dam is deep and there is strictly no dam access.
Interaction with Guests
We are available to you via phone during your stay for any little questions you may have! Feel free to give us a call!
Other things to note
The cabin is located on a private peninsular and has its own paddock. It is located on our working farm so you may see our family out and about on the farm from time to time - moving cows and sheep or doing some weeding! We ask that you stay within the designated cabin area only.
The Local Area
Kangaroo Valley is often described as one of the most beautiful towns in NSW with its incredible escarpments, creeks, rivers farms and historical Hampden Bridge! It's the perfect place for some time away to reconnect with everything. The Valley offers bushwalking, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, cycling, mountain biking, quaint shops and top quality food. The cabin is located 3.5km from Kangaroo Valley Township.
Getting Around
It is best to have your own transport as there are no taxis or buses in Kangaroo Valley. You can hire push bikes locally to ride around town or go explore some local tracks.

The cabin was delightful, just as described and perfect for our little escape.
We felt like we had our own little secluded hideaway all to ourselves, sharing it only with a few cows and sheep. Only a short drive away from the great little village.
Thank you for a great weekend.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin in Kangaroo Valley. From the moment we arrived, it felt peaceful, cosy and incredibly relaxing. The cabin was spotless, well equipped and surrounde...d by stunning scenery, making it the perfect escape from the city.
Our favourite part was sitting by the fire each evening with a glass of wine, enjoying the warmth and atmosphere after a day exploring the valley. It made the whole experience feel extra special and romantic.
The location was fantastic, offering privacy and tranquillity while still being close enough to enjoy everything Kangaroo Valley has to offer. We left feeling completely refreshed and already talking about when we can come back.
Highly recommend for couples looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Abby was an excellent host.

Hi! I'm Abby and with my partner Bob are the proud hosts of the awesome The Bedford on Scanzi! I am a true 'Valley Local' as some call it, growing up on a dairy farm in Kangaroo Valley. Bob, I and our three kiddos love spending our spare time exploring and going on mini adventures hiking, 4WD and fishing. Most of our time is spent on our farm tending to the cows and sheep. We are lucky enough to have our own little slice of paradise which we want to share with you.

Located 1km up the road is the very popular and picturesque Kangaroo Valley Golf course. Hire a cart and enjoy the views. After you can refuel at the restaurant on site.
Beyond The Valley
Along the red rocks trail, we discovered the Kangaroo Valley lookout. And way a dam good view!
Bushwalking In The Valley
We love a good bush walk and recommend Drawing Room Rocks for beautiful views over the south coast. For those wanting a spectacular view without the huff and puff of a hike, Red Rocks is amazing at sunset.
Canoe Or Kayak The Kangaroo River
Hire a Kayak from Kangaroo Valley Kayaks or Safaris and float down the river from Hampden Bridge for a relaxed adventure.
Wilde Month Watering Burgers
In the heart of Kangaroo Valley, we waltz on in to "Wilde" cafe where the service was exceptional and the burgers were beyond that! Amazing.
Cambewarra Lookout
A popular spot on top of Cambewarra Mountain, on the way to Nowra. The lookout provides magnificent views of the South Coast. There is a restaurant located on top for you to enjoy the view and some lunch.
