Indigo Hideaway is a self-contained recycled timber cabin on our rural property. Our bespoke hand-crafted cabin is set amongst established oak trees and surrounded by greenery. It is ideal for romantics, readers, writers and explorers. The Indigo Hideaway is a cute mix - it's part cabin, part tiny house. It is the perfect base to slow down, catch your breath and explore the wonders of north east Victoria.

PLEASE NOTE
The kitchenette has a small fridge, a toaster, kettle, microwave and snazzy pod coffee machine. It is not equipped for cooking meals but guests can reheat pre-prepared meals in the microwave or use the small BBQ provided. There are terrific eateries in nearby Yackandandah and surrounding towns of Beechworth and Albury/Wodonga.
- Please note Indigo Hideaway is not suitable for children. This is due to the ladder leading up to the loft and the loft area itself posing potential hazards for little people.
- We cannot accommodate pets, and sadly no, we can't make an exception for your Fluffy, as adorable as he/she may be.

The Indigo Hideaway is nestled in the hills near Yackandandah, where there is great walking, cycling and swimming, as well as wineries, galleries and cafes to explore. It's easy to day trip to the alpine areas of Falls Creek and Mt Buffalo which are spectacular in winter or summer. In the other direction we are not far from the Murray River and the Hume Weir which are great swimming and fishing spots.

I absolutely loved staying at the Indigo Hideaway. Kate was such a thoughtful & wonderful host - super communicative, helpful and had arranged for everything one could possibly need (even though she w...as traveling that time). The cabin itself is super cozy, has everything one would need and such a dreamy escape.
I had the best few days there - disconnecting from the world, and reconnecting with nature & myself. Would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to explore & experience the Victorian High Country.

Swimming Fishing

Allans Flat Reserve is approximately eight kilometres from Yackandandah, heading north east on the Yackandandah-Wodonga Road. The waterhole is a popular swimming hole for locals, created during the gold rush days from dredge mining. Take your own picnic and enjoy a cool swim during warm summer days and evenings. Allans Flat waterhole is managed as a Family Fishing Lake and stocked twice yearly with rainbow trout and annually with golden perch. The lake was created by gold dredging operations.

We took a stroll around Yackandandah town on Saturday Morning - we walked around Allans Flat Reserve before heading to the quirky town of Yackandandah to visit some of the locals shops.

Yackandandah Gorge Scenic Walk

The Gorge Walk will take you along the historic gorge, built as a tail race to sluice gravel and sand in the hope of finding gold. The original cutting was made by pick, shovel and blasting powder, but was later deepened using dynamite creating the gorge you see today.

Yackandandah Mountain Bike Track Network

The Yackandandah Mountain Bike Track Network, also know as Yack Tracks, is located in the Stanley State Forest. Long unbroken segment lengths have been created to allow riders enough time to fully embrace the track flow and enjoy their surroundings. The trails range from easy to intermediate level, providing a safe but enjoyable ride experience. To find Yack Tracks head out of town on Bells Flat Rd.

This is the best little cafe deli in town with delicious food for breakfast or lunch... and great coffee! They also offer a selection of fine local wine and produce to purchase.

Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park

Located between Beechworth and the low hills surrounding Chiltern, the park contains the highest number of mammal, bird and reptile species recorded at any Box-Ironbark site. Over 200 bird species have been recorded; including threatened woodland species such as the Regent Honeyeater, Swift Parrot, Turquoise Parrot and Square-Tailed Kite. The park includes the striking Mt Pilot Range and Woolshed Falls and protects box-ironbark forest that once covered much of northeast Victoria.
