We had a really nice stay at Hidden Valley House. The house is beautiful, clean and the view is really great. It's a lovely spot just to be in. The house is super warm as well! The electricity set-up ...is a bit hit and miss so takes a bit of getting used to. Would be good to update the house manual. We saw loads of wildlife and some nice bushwalks nearby.

Hidden valley house was absolutely incredible, the photos don't do it justice. Waking up and looking out the living room windows gives an amazing view, making you feel like you're hours away from anyth...ing. The house has anything you need, with the fire place giving you plenty of warmth on a raining night. Grab a torch and explore after dark and you'll find plenty of animals making their way around

My wife, son and I have enjoyed travelling in Europe and the Balkans in a motorhome for 12 months, we enjoyed the freedom and adventures. We often stayed in national parks and enjoyed living off the Grid. This house reminds us of the times we free-camped in the national parks. We love the privacy, close encounters with wildlife and low tech environment. Relax by the fire, play a board game, live in the moment, and Leave no trace.

Exploring Steiglitz

Steiglitz is a small, abandoned mining town in the Brisbane Ranges. We spent our afternoon exploring the settlement and its landmarks such as the post office and the courthouse. The walking track around the town, Deadman's Loop, is a great way to explore the area and took us around an hour to complete.

Brunch At The Boxy

Box Office Cafe, or Boxy, as it's known by the Geelong locals, is a great spot for either breakfast and coffee or a couple of late drinks, offering a selection of brunch items made of fresh and locally available ingredients.

We enjoyed a late breakfast with ice coffees in the cosy outdoor section while planning for the days ahead.
