We had a beautiful time at the barn over 4 nights / 5 days. The weather was sunny and calm - allowing us to enjoy parts of the big beauty property. Our dog had so much fun playing in the river and zoo...med around the property. Bernie was very kind and generous and the place itself was really nice cozy. Would love to come back soon!

Such a beautiful place to stay and we were well looked after! Bernie was so lovely and we even got sent a great list of things to do in the area. The barn was well equipped with everything we’d need for the weekend

Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.

Farmland
We made some new friends (Nova and Chloe) to accompany us on our walk as we explored the surrounding farmland and rivers.
Thomson River
The Thompson River backs onto the property and runs its way through to the town of Abington. A couple of canoes parked under a tree down by the river that passes through Abington were a welcome activity on our weekend escape.
Blue Pools
Only a short drive from the town of Briagolong on the Freestone Creek Road is a beautiful creekside picnic area with safe swimming. Travel a few more kilometres to The Arches and the most popular local swimming hole called The Blue Pool. Located approx 5km from Briagolong.

Ninety Mile Beach
Ninety Mile Beach is a 90-mile long stretch of stunning golden sand that separates the Gippsland Lakes from Bass Strait. This is one of the most unspoilt beaches in the world and is perfect for any number of beach activities from beach fishing and swimming to meandering along the water, whale and dolphin-spotting or just lounging in the sun.
