We booked this accommodation for the night of our wedding and spent just under $400 for one night.
When we arrived, we weren't sure whether we had entered someone's home or our accommodation. I need...ed to recheck the website to make sure we were in the right place. There was also no instruction guide as promised on the table, which added to the confusion.
Some things are shown in the professional photographs on this website like a handful of tops hanging and men's shoes lined up; however, there were MANY more personal belongings in the studio that were actually in the place which made us feel like intruders rather than guests. I felt like I had landed into a Bachelor pad full of things that I was unsure if I could use. This made the stay feel confusing.
Ron eventually found us and recommended many outdoor activities. We were told by Ron that the eggs were good for us to eat, but there was so much random food in the cupboards, fridge and freezer; but no milk or bread. There was also alcohol and cordials on display.
In the end, we didn't use anything other than the bed and bathroom. We did love the bathroom which had been renovated and the outdoor bath did look quite cool. There were also clearly some good quality, natural products in the bathroom for us to use.
All in all, we do feel like we were ripped off and could have spent our money better elsewhere. For the price we paid, we expected a different experience that made us feel like guests rather than feeling like we were staying at a friend's house.

We loved our stay at the Cortes Studio. It is a great space with all we needed…and the bathroom is amazing! So modern and on point but to juxtapose it with the rustic reclaimed tub outdoors - bathin...g while just the cows graze on by…the access to the ovens river is a total bonus and was a great experience. The location is tucked away but close enough to plenty of attractions at Beechworth, king valley and mytleford. Ronaldo was welcoming and while we had no reason to summon him after checking I felt if we had any issues or requests he would have been more than accomodating. Highly recommend staying here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Cortes Studio!! Ronaldo was an incredible host, making sure we had everything we need, what we could do on the property - made us very comfortable. Loved the bikes and ...riding on the property, exploring the river, playing basketball and spent hours in the outdoor bath! We will be back to stay at another one of the airbnbs he has so beautifully built and designed!!! Highly recommend!!

Fishing
Whether it’s fly-fishing in the rivers and streams, Alpine angling in the lakes and reservoirs or catching dinner in a Trout and Salmon farm. Bright and surrounds, with its pristine waters, is sure to cater for all your fishing desires.
The main rivers of Ovens, Buffalo and Buckland support good self-sustaining populations of blackfish and brown trout. Access to almost all rivers is excellent with good fly- fishing possible without extensive walking. Bait fishing and spinning for trout is also a popular pastime for visitor and locals alike. Bait, fishing gear and fishing licenses can be purchased in Bright.

Tiny Coffee
For your coffee fix visit Liv and Jake at Tiny Coffee in Beechworth. Their vibrant and welcoming dispositions make anyone feel right at home. If you're lucky, they might have their loving pup with them to also get your daily dose of doggo.
Bridge Road Brewers
Pop on down to Beechworth to try some of the local fare. They offer an array of tasty beers - Andy went for the seasonal Magical Christmas unicorn vanilla ice cream beer which sounds like way too much flavor for a beer in my opinion but he liked it! They offer gluten free as well as regular pizza options with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The Horn Lookout
Continue from Ladies Baths to The Horn Lookout at the top of Mt. Buffalo. It's a bit further up the track, altogether a little over an hour from the accomodation but catching sunset up there is well worth it. If you make it in time, you can go for a short hike up the track from the lookout to catch a 360 view.

Short Walk To Ladies Bath Falls
A 45-minute drive from Casa Cortes takes you to the trailhead of Ladies Bath Falls. A clearly marked sign lets you know you are in the right place with a handful of parking spots just off the main road. It was only a 10 min walk to the base of the scenic falls. The water was chilly, but on a warm day, it would be a great place to take a dip in the shallow pools.
