Such a beautiful and homey little (although doesn’t feel small) space! I stayed with my husband and 2 young children and we loved it.
The beds were a little high if you do stay with kids, thankfully ...we brought a bed rail so if you have young kids I do recommend that, but otherwise it’s such a beautiful and well designed space. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Trestle Bridge Stroll

We went for a nice morning stroll along the bridge and down onto the beach for some fantastic views.

Udder Hoe

Tucked behind the general store is Udder & Hoe. Udder & Hoe is all about slow food and slow living. They stock a wide variety of locally grown and sourced produce. You can grind your own grains, buy fresh veggies and meat or even local beer and wine. We stocked up on some lamb and veggies for a yummy home-cooked dinner.

Rock Pooling At Shelley Beach

Shelley Beach can be accessed by foot, bicycle or car. There is a small road sign indicating a turn-off to Shelley Beach in 400 metres but no sign at the turn.

George Bass Coastal Walk

Beginning In Kilcunda or just out of San Remo. The George Bass Coastal Walk is a breathtaking clifftop hike along the rugged coastline. About 8km in length from end to end. We started at the San Remo end and went about halfway then turned around. With the not so little fella on our backs, we felt this was enough. We enjoyed some phenomenal views of the ocean clifftops and countryside.

Ride The Bass Coast Rail Trail

Ride the Bass Coast Rail Trail. From crossing the road you can commence the trail from Kilcunda or start at Wonthaggi and ride the coastal rail trail to Kilcunda and through to Woolamai.
This trail is part of a former branch line from Nyora to Wonthaggi.

Surfing

Not far from Inverloch, Cape Paterson is a sheltered reef break that has pretty consistent surf and can work at anytime of the year. Offshore winds are from the north. The right reef break is best.
