WALK to BEACHES & CAFES, FIRE PIT, VIEW SHIPS navigated the HEADs

'Kipsie' (shelter, dwelling), our yesteryear double storey miner's cottage (circa 1870) is thought to have been transported by bullock train from the Victorian Goldfields to its current seaside location. Kipsie has an ambience all of its own - nurturing, restful, restorative...

Wake to the sounds of the ocean, explore the generous garden and many original features of the home (plus essential modernisations). Take coffee on the porch, then stroll 400m to the front beach, boardwalk and cafes.

Point Lonsdale's famous surf beach is only 600m away and continues as a circuit with Hardies Lookout (360 degree view of the ocean and township), rock pools, lighthouse & Rip View Lookout. Watch the spectacle of the giant ships navigate Port Phillip Heads, brave the wild surf beach or meander along the gentle foreshore beach. Cycle beside the foreshore to historic Queenscliff or at sunset to the Salt Lakes. A range of local art and music festivals, as well as wineries are on offer. And then, return to the comfort of Kipsie. Read, nap, glass of wine...

A fantastic cottage. It felt so homely- complete with all the items needed to feel cozy. Heaters, blankets, comfy cushions, nice lighting, a coffee machine! Comfy beds and a wonderful outdoor verandah... for morning tea. Easily walkable to point Lonsdale and to walk along the beachfront. Would stay again for sure!
