We’ve stayed in BnB’s all over the world and Rockbank Retreat is up there with the best of them. Upon arrival I had to double check we were in the right place, as it was even lovelier in person than t...he photos suggested. The setting is absolutely picturesque with gorgeously landscaped gardens and endless rolling green hills beyond - secluded and peaceful but only a 15 minute drive to Wonthaggi. The home itself is spacious and well-appointed. Annette and Andrew have thought of everything, from the basic comforts to thoughtful extras like a range of fresh breakfast provisions. This will be our go-to whenever visiting the area in future.

Look at the photo’s then triple the beauty you see as pics cant quite do it the justice it deserves, this place is gorgeous! The fireplace is the highlight inside along with all the breakfast provisio...ns, port and chocolates that make you feel truely welcome and outside the views in any direction are stunning. We got to meet Andrew and his dog Trevor who are the friendliest hosts ever to exist. The rolling hills make for a beautiful drive to the nearby towns or in 20 mins your on phillip Island. We cant wait to go back.

Andrew took us on a walking tour of the property, which has 360 degree views at its highest point. We witnessed the most beautiful sunset up there. Absolutely breathtaking!

Head to Powlett River, access east of the town on the Bass Highway. Fish the river crossing and also further along the river where it swells into what resembles a lake.

Sweeping panoramic views across endless rolling green hills beneath vast open skies, peaceful and beautifully scenic.

Hit The Surf

The surf's up in Kilcunda. With three south-west facing beaches this coast is known for excellent rock fishing, surfing and stunning views.
