VILLA DETAILS
Fall asleep at night listening to the ocean or soak in the spa after a day of walking and hiking at the magnificent Wilsons Promontory. Maybe wineries and art galleries are more your style or you feel like a swim, surfing lesson or a boat charter out to the islands off Wilsons Promontory.
Book a helicopter or plane flight to view the coastline from the sky. It's all here. Driftwood Villas Banksia offers peace and solitude creating the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of South Gippsland. Wake up early to watch kangaroos grazing in our paddock or blissfully sit out on your deck sipping wine and watching the cows. Drive your car onto our Inlet Beach, ride the rail trail or head up and check out Agnes Falls.
Here at Driftwood Villas, you will experience sparkling cleanliness (natural chemicals only) and a smiling host willing to assist you in any way possible. All linen along with tea, coffee and sugar sachets are provided free of charge. Toilet paper organic small shampoo, conditioner and soap amenities are also provided.
You will have full access to the Villa during your stay. There is a large grassed area surrounding your Villa which enables unlimited parking space or a great family playing area. You also have access to a grassed 2-acre paddock if you so desire. You have your own BBQ, outdoor table and chairs and patio area attached to your Villa.
I live onsite and normally like to catch up with guests during their stay for a quick hello and to give them local knowledge in regards to eateries, walks, beaches etc. If I am away during your stay I can normally ask family members or a friend to come and help if any issues arise.
The township of Sandy Point is unique in that it has a beautiful unspoilt coastline and has yet to be discovered en mass by tourism. Our proximity to Wilsons Promontory makes it a great holiday base.
Summer months are our busiest time of year, yet some of the most beautiful, calm weather is during the Autumn and Spring periods.
Although winter is often cold, wet and windy as long as you dress appropriately it can also be a magical time of year for holidaying at Sandy Point. The artistic town of Fish Creek has 5 art galleries and a general store offering lots of local produce.
The Fish Creek Pub serves quality pub meals, and you also have KO's for pizza and pasta and The Flying Cow Cafe. In the nearby township of Foster, you can visit the Historical Museum, have a swim at the outdoor pool in summer or visit the Farmers Market on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
Don't miss the craft market which is only 6 times a year over the summer period. Foster also has a Foodworks and IGA supermarket, fish shop (locally caught fish), butcher (most meat is locally raised), quality fruit and vegetable market, pharmacy, newsagents, cafes and a large store offering a wide range of outdoor, indoor, kids and general products.
Wiggy’s on the Green at the Foster Golf Club is the place to go in Foster if you are looking for a divine top quality breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Foster Pub, Indian Restaurant or one of the several cafes also offer a great variety to suit most taste buds. It is wise to check out opening hours of any places you wish to visit or eat at as opening and closing hours are a lot more limited in the country.
There is no access to public transport at Sandy Point. The Vline bus runs several times a day from Fish Creek (20 min drive) and Foster (25 min drive) to either Melbourne or Yarram. On occasions I can pick guests up from the Vline in Fish Creek but once you arrive in Sandy Point walking is the only option available :)
The Sandy Point General Store opens at 8:00 am and closes at 5:30 pm most of the year. The takeaway is normally open on weekends throughout the year (currently closed for renovations) but if you plan on getting takeaway its best to check whether its open upon arrival to save being disappointed when you are hungry :)
- Smoking allowed outside only

Hi, I have been renting out my two holiday Villas for the last 7 years. I am now going on a gap year so am throwing my house into the mix. I adore my house: it's funky, full of character and faces north so lots of sunshine all year round. I hope you love it as much as I do. The Villas have their own distinct charm: octagonal and also lots of glass
